Sweet, may be if my 150 was rimless, I'd be able to kick it in gear and get it running... You should go external overflow 
About to join you with both a rimless tank and my last tank setup for a while. Mine will be a 36x36x18. I need help setting up plumbing for this, so all you old school reefers out there, does anyone care to lend a hand and help me make this happen? Anyone have equipment plumbing wise they aren't using? Anyone want to help me plumb this thing. It will be here on Monday and I'm anxious to get it up and going since come August I am moving to Austin, TX and can't take it with me, so unless I can find some gracious soul to care for it well I am making a new home for myself, I will have to tear it down and sell it. I will be offering everything I have on here first prior to my move. Congrats on your tank by the way, be sure to post some pics when you get it set up.

i am putting the tank against the wall, so i cann't do external overflow, and it's stand alone tank, so the external overflow will make the stand wider come out more.
by the way, any update pics of your 150???

yeah, had that thought as well, but once it filled up it weight about 150 lbs, i think i will be fine, as long as i keep it safe til then. :gay1:
Thats what I thought too till I 'bumped' my 10G fuge that was setup similarly & realised how easily it would crack ... not to scare you though
So why two sumps? Will one be a refugium or something? I like the lighting setup... I love (miss) halides and the top down viewing of a bunch of acros.....

bigger sump = better sump.
i want more water volume, the first sump second "chamber", mainly for floating new frags or corals. second sump second "chamber" is for LR. i also planning on if one day i might just break down and do a full zeovit system, so i can use the first sump second "chamber" for the zeo reactor.^_^ one day...
i also miss that look as well, that's why this new tank only 20" high, so i can do side view and top down.

Good idea. I've been thinking about having a chamber for liverock as well in my sump.
Yeah. I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking of going back to halides, or at a minimum, halides and T5s. Kinda like you are doing except with 2 lumenbrights, so I won't need to worry about heat. Replacing 10 T5 bulbs every 6 months isn't too cost effective either.... I may switch out to 2x 250HQI radiums on my 120, just to see if I am really missing out or not before I decide to make a lighting change for the 150.

Looking good, and great dimensions, I considered something similar. I'm curious why you went with the Octo 160 over the 200. For just a couple dollars more you could have gone with a bigger skimmer, same pump of course but bigger body. Is your sump limited on room? I've noticed the 200's seem to be out of stock a lot, at least on BRS so maybe the extra performance isn't worth waiting for another shipment?
