Reef crystals,but I only do 5% weekly change.That is part of the reason I am thinking of doing the Neo Zeo system,seems a little cheaper as I am on a budget and running out of cash for my Aquarium addiction.My understanding is being on one of these systems will allow you to do smaller water changes.

Reef Crystals should not be used with any probiotic systems, the alk is too high. NeoZeo isn't any cheaper than ZEOvit, you dose a heck of a lot more of the product with NeoZeo than with ZEOvit. I was experimenting with NeoZeo, for about 4 months. I'll likely stick with ZEO...

What salt are you using at the moment?

With the Tunze salt (BRS has it now) I am using now I don't have to dose any K+ at all.
By doing a weekly 10% WC it stays very nice in the recommended range 380-400.

For a while, I was dosing a lot of K Balance to maintain K levels... I don't know what it was, but many users were experiencing the same thing. Lately, I haven't been. I have an idea why.... but its sheer speculation....

I am using the KZ kit.Would you say in the long run Zeo is cheaper? I would be buying the chems online and finding the best deals on the web.

I bought the reactor used. It was a three liter reactor, but I cut it down to a one liter. Probably use the extra tubing to make a two liter for when I upgrade my tank in a year or two.

I measured Matt's K, it's 400ppm. He's using Corallife salt, which I recall is a good K and alkalinity salt.

Here are a few other appropriate salts to use with probiotic systems,
Oceanic
Seachem Reef
Tropic Marin Pro Reef
Red Sea Pro
Tunze ( per MaxReefer)

Week two of doing a full zeo system is coming to an end on this Sunday. This far I am dosing:
Zeobak 4 drops every night
Zeofood 7 4 drops every night
Zeostart 2 .35 ml in the morning and again at night
Postasium iodide/fluoride 4 drops every night
Amino Acid concentrate 4 drops every night
Sponge power 4 drops every night
Coral vitalizer 4 drops every night
and Stylo/pocci glow starting tomorrow

As long you have the feeling everything looks good nothing wrong with your dosing. Every tank is different.
I am happy with twice a week and get good results (and saves money).

Also, SP likely contains some ammonia, or something that is broken down into ammonia.... I'd just watch your NO3...

Regarding salts, I was talking to Li and he mentioned that Oceanic is high alkalinity(11dkh) and low calcium(380ppm). They must have change their formula, so that's off the list.

I know with my setup I am useing IO salt and Im having perfect results so far but if things change I may find a different salt. Its nice to see other zeo nutz out here
