ugh, I went to look in the basket star I added this afternoon only to find my regal stuck to a pump. There were no signs of ailment with him ever so I can only assume it simply got stuck to the pump. What a heart breaker :(

I have had my falme angel for about a year. My experience is that it realy isnt too hard on the LPS, the exception is one particular acan. Not all of them, just one. He hasnt done any damage so I am going to put up with it. Definitely an awesome fish. I moved the acan lower in the tank, as recommended due to a new light. It seems to have helped his urge to nip.

looks great! kinda to blue to make out whats what. But i can till the tanks looks good.

So I went a little crazy with feeding, under did the maintenance...
The corals have been growing great... almost as fast as the algae. Tuesday Scott and I will be doing the monthly weed pulling. First, let me put up a few shots of bryopsis heaven.
Few changes
Lost some fish... Done with regal angels. The copperband never got his stomach out despite how ridiculous much he ate. I got a new scotts that only made it about a month and a lubbocks that got PWNED by the other fish.
I did add a school of bar gobies to fill the upper 1/3 of the tank. They are awesome!

I'm done with fish for a while. I have been rushing the tank as it is.

I pulled the pink birds nest, it just grows too fast! I'm already feeling I need to move some corals out. The Hawkins is growing great where it is, but the other SPS don't like the fringes so well. Once the Bryopsis is under control, I am going to look for some..... not SPS corals to fill in the spaces... shudder :)

Here is my new Zeoreactor to host the biopellets. I assumed with the zeo name it would be supper expensive, but it turned out to be about the same as the octopus reactor and a pump. It has the added benefit of being able to plunge the pellets around if they get stuck and easily add more pellets. With the tank as messy as it is I would rather run tried and true GFO, but its good for me to learn the other methods. I started with a small amount and am ramping up. I think my system should be about 500mls.

and the corals don't really care other than them getting covered. Fortunately, bryopsis is easy to pick out... temporally. I started to raise my mag to 2000. I am going to use BRS mag because I am so skeptical of everything I read about it needing to be Kent. Guess I will find out by next month. :beerchug:

I have the same thing going on with my tank. Thanks for posting pics...now I don't feel as bad!

You got it! First I want folks to know I am annoyed, of course, but not worried about my tank. Right now to keep the tank clean I would need to garden it once every 3 weeks. This is about 5 weeks from the last plucking. I know that it will go away if I behave :)
