Im wondering when the next meeting will be. After seeing the business meeting results, I figure I need to become a member because, ill be taking my tank down in the next couple months and need access to this forum to sell my coral, equipment, and junk. I'd also like to be a member and attend a meeting for the reefing experience. Let me know.

... and i checked the calender and that thing is too vague.

Heres my tank!

this is my tank from a few months ago, ive been retooling so it looks a lot better. Well you'll see when i post the sale thread. Im moving to VT for school and I have to leave the big girl behind.

This is something that came up at the business meeting. The club is making an effort to move away from the paper sign-in sheets when possible. Sometimes meeting holders forget (or just take a while) to turn in their sign-in sheets. Plus, the data entry must be a huge pain for big meetings.

Agent made a new computerized/online sign-in mechanism that was used at the business meeting today. If it gets set up really well, I'd imagine attendance could be recorded automatically and immediately. I thought it was a really big improvement.

Paper sign-in would still be available if the meeting holder really wanted to avoid computers.

The people who were there might have more insight as to how it works but it should be a standard going forward and accessible by the members holding meetings for proper credit for check in.

If you're talking about Clint's DA meeting, I just got the sign in sheets a few days ago.

If you're talking about any other meeting, I don't have the sheets.

People that attended the business meeting have a good insight to the start of overhauling our attendance system.

can someone clarify "Business Meeting"... <------- shop owners only? or am I missing something? cause I currently don't own a shop.:gay1:

so can anyone explain that part about members who have never attended a meeting... still waiting on this...;)

Not sure what you mean by this.

A business meeting is where the membership votes on club issues, like elections, bylaw amendments, etc.

A business meeting is where TCMAS folks meet to discuss TCMAS business. The one that happened yesterday was pretty well advertised on this forum. I believe it is completely open to anybody who wants to attend. To vote on any motions, you need voting rights. To get voting rights, attend at least two meetings (any regular club meetings, not just business meetings) within the past 12 months.

I'll Vouch for Meng that he has at the last meeting from DA, met him there for the first time and chatted. :beerchug:

Rays word is worth colonies.

So just my $.02. There is only one meeting on the calender for the whole next year other than the Frag Swap that doesn't count. Makes it a little difficult to plan for that one day April 30th (should be a doosy of a meeting). Maybe you should allow a grace period of maybe a couple meetings to let people try to make it to one. I guess whatever though I'll make it when I make it.

Later
Casey

The meetings always fill in over time. You can always host a meeting as well which could fill one of those lonely spots :)

I'll be holding a meeting this summer finally (I swear). With the new baby I just haven't had time to figure that out yet.
