Well sense im not gonna get the ribbon ell. By the way thanks everyone for the information. Just wondering what my best bet would be for a eel in my 75 tank?

Do you like big or small fish? I was big into predators and had a snowflake eel i raised from a baby to a 2 foot monster who enjoyed the taste of my flesh. I'd say all eels are "reef safe" in the sense they wont mess with your corals. However ANY and I mean ANY piece of meat that moves more than an inch a day and is smaller than 2-3" will get eaten pretty quickly once the eel matures.

A good pet non-the-less is a snowflake, easy to ween onto frozen silversides and honestly i'll take an eel bit anyday of the incessant picking at my flesh that my black clown fish has exhibited since he's getting to be a senior citizen in the tank.

Thanks for the info. I havea mysrti wrasse about three inches along with a maroon clown. That might cause problems.....

I've had a snowflake for 2 years now. he's never taken any of my fish out, but i've never fed him anything live. I feed silversides and table shrimp. He eats like a machine, and is one of my favorite fish. When he comes all the way out, it's pretty spectacular. They are a very pretty eel.

I also have a brackish moray that I converted to full marine (green with white specs, sorry i'm blanking on the name) but not out nearly as often as the snowflake and a way pickier eater.

I'll recommend against a snowflake. They will eat what can fit in their mouths or fish that are low hanging fruit. Sometimes they will bite other fish by accident Or feeding aggression. You may want to lean toward zebras.

wean I got it at SWE they told me it wos a engineer Eel but i just Google Engineer goby and thats what I have LOL guess I must of herd them wrong O well so for the past year I have been telling people I have a eel and I don't :stupid:
