Sponsor-A-Newbie Program (1 Viewer)

:lots: looking for a mentor in N Minneapolis i am setting up a 75gl with a sump and need all the help i can get

I could certainly benefit from a sponsor.. I think the guy at the LFS is probably reallly sick of me by now. :) I am a decent ways in to the setup.. I added a 3 soft corals and some livestock this weekend and now plan to let it sit. I had previous freshwater experience so I have been moderately brave, but am getting to the point that I am sure is critical - maintaining the tank and keeping it healthy.

Hey!!! I'M UP FOR ADOPTION TOO IF THERE'S SOMEONE A LITTLE FURTHER SOUTH!, I'M IN FAIRMONT, MN.. SOUTH OF KATO.... GREAT IDEA GUYS, IM IMPRESSED BY EVERYTHING ON HERE! THANKS.......120 GAL WITH SUMP, EVERYTHING PURCHASED FROM SWE.

Is this program still going on? If so it would be nice to have someone experienced to guide me. I live in St. Louis park. This is my first ever tank, 75 gal. FOWLR probably as I don't think I'm ready for a reef yet.
Thanks,
Nerf

I am in Wisconsin, not a noob but still there are questions that arise, wouldnt mind a go-to-guy. I know re-fin-away is in Hammond, WI. Anyone know of any others in my area? I live near La Crosse, WI. I am about 2.5 Hours away from Minneapolis.

For the people not close to me I'm always willing to help anyone and the best way to get me is via email at agent462@gmail.com. With the nature of my job, family life and the way I communicate, phone will be slow.

If you're in the Prior Lake area, I'd be happy to stop by if you're truly stumped on something.

Alot of questions can be answered on the forum. If you need something answered or just have questions you can always call me also. My number is in my profile.

I am more than happy to help anyone who asks! Although not able to drive to the cities but can: Call, Email, Text, PM, or whatever works for them!

Also anyone close to Mankato area can always stop at the store and talk reef. Even if your just thinking of setting up a tank and dont intend to buy at least stop in and have fun! :beerchug:

Good to see this thread getting some action!!!!

New kid here. In the uptown minneapolis area. Going to start my first saltwater tank. I have experience with freshwater and have done lots of reading on salt but I feel like having someone who knows what there doing around would make me alot less afraid of hurting something. I just ordered a 28 gallon biocube, so i will be starting up in about a week.

I, for one, would appreciate a mentor in the Blaine/Coon Rapids area to help me set up my 1st saltwater tank. I have had freshwater tanks set up for as long as I can remember. And I have wanted a saltwater for about as long, I am finally getting the nerve to set one up. I am just starting to plan it out so I'm sure I will have a lot of questions going forward. I am thankful mnbartender referred this forum to me.

I'm a total noob just north of Downtown Minneapolis and would love a "mentor." To help me get started. I have done lots of reading and have a pretty good idea of how I want to get started on stuff, but would love someone I can bounce questions off more directly.

Hi 2name. I don't live in the area but would be more than happy to lend you a helping hand via phone. I am available by phone in the evenings. I will send you a PM with more info.
