Just in case you're curious...it's doing that because you're using a wide angle with an on camera flash. The flash isn't high enough off of the camera and the end of the lens is actually blocking part of the light from the flash.

You can avoid it by shooting at a longer focal length or getting a flash that mounts in the hot shoe and can be tilted.

Nice setup!!

Project “Free Air Conditioning”.

Just finished up project “Free Air Conditioning”.

Installed one Broan 130CFM ultra quiet exhaust fan

Installed one 6” fresh air

Install one multifunction dehumidification, cooling, heating, humidifying thermostat.

Now between late fall and early spring when the outside temp is below 65 and the humidity is below 50% I can condition the air in my fish room for free!!! :dance: Yes control both the humidity levels and temperature. Ok it may cost me a couple of dollars for the fan a month but that’s a lot less than a chiller/AC/using my home air exchanger.

I have been meaning to do this for a while now. Ran a test last night before finalizing the controller the results were quite pleasing.:biggrin:

Not too much new to report. The new "FREE AIR” system is maintaining the room climate very nicely. I'm currently working on securing and installing a macro fuge next to the Profilux controller. Once it’s in I plan on making it a pod, egg laying peppermint shrimp haven. When it’s stable I am going to change my stocking in the display somewhat. I going to add LOTS of small reef fish and see if I can get that Chaotic reef look going.

I am also looking at ways to add a fourth pump to the profilux and dose phyto, or brine, or something along those lines. That’s what happening on the never ending build side.

On the reef side I picked up half a dozen nice frags at the swap. Trying to add some more red, pink and yellow to the tank. Purple & green seem to be covered.
