Changes look nice. I have a yellow mimic and he awesome. I like the new aquascape. I know my Copperband loves frozen Bloodworms and Blackworms. That and PE Mysis have kept him healthy for almost a year now.

Do you have a pic of your mimic? I'm always curious to see what they look like as adults, they all seem a bit different.

Unfortunately the Copperband didn't make it. I could not get him to eat anything really. I tried frozen mysis and brine and bought live blackworms. No dice.

I may try another sometime but not right now. That was a bummer.

I also added a couple peppermint shrimp when I got the mimic. Acclimated them and put them in the tank and never saw them again. Not sure if the cleaner shrimp offed them, or they stepped in the elegance, or maybe the carpet nem. Either way, that was a waste of money. :)

Switched out my MP40 for a Tunze 6205. Holy cow does that thing provide flow! It's enough by itself at the moment, but planning to add a second 6205 and control them with the 7095 Tunze controller. Should provide some pretty awesome flow when it's all said and done.

Plus this way they'll be usable on a future upgrade. :gay1:

To be fair to the MP40 its more like a 6105... but dont cost that much. only if the tunzes werent so bulky to place in the front of the tank... I would be all tunze all over again :greenguy:

Yeah, you're right, the 6205 compared to the MP40 is not a fair comparison. If these 6205's hadn't come up I probably would have gone with/looked for a pair of 6105's. I'm hoping not to have to place either one anywhere but on the back glass, so the size won't really matter.

That will change if your next upgrade is anywhere near deep dimensions ;)

Resurrecting this for some updated pics:

FTS:

Some random coral shots:

I've had this pectinia for a couple years or more. It almost all died away at one point, this is the best it's looked in awhile:

A frag tank was added to the system about a month ago. It's plumbed to the main system. So far so good. Planning to upgrade the MH to LEDs soon.

Reboot.

I moved a couple months ago so the tank had to come down. Just a couple weeks ago it got moved to it's new location.

FTS sometime before teardown:

Everything is hanging out in a 100g Rubbermaid tub for the past 6 weeks or so. Had a few coral casualties from close quarters, but all fish are going strong. Temp setup:

Frag tank got moved to the new house sooner, most things made it through the move, though I did lose a couple fish and a few corals. Frag tank FTS:

Still have some nice pieces, so some coral shots. No altering, all taken under LEDs with pretty much white channel at 90% and blue at 10% to get close to the right colors.

Blastos and Superman Rhodactis holding strong:

Elegance is un-phased:

God of Wars:

Hammer:

Overall shot of the holding tub:

Some nice colonies from the last swap:

Plenty of frags:

Mandarins on the left, Fairy Suns on the right:

Purple Hooters:

Sunny D's:

Fairy Dust colony:

Some nice sps frags I picked up lately:

Radioactive Decay Acro from Fragtastic:

Plumbing parts are on order so the tank should be getting back in business soon!

Oh the temp stock tank. Been there, done that! Looking forward to the rebuild. Are those evergrow (reefbreeders) LEDs you are running?

The temp tank has worked better than I thought it might. Yes, they are the evergrow/reefbreeders leds. Running them on both the display and frag tank. I've been more than happy with them.
