Alternative for Murinic Acid (1 Viewer)

So I was going to soak my rock in acid but it is so cold out and I don't have my heater in my garage hooked up yet is there any alternative for an acid bath that can be done in the house??

I got my new 125 set up today well kind of have a ballast problem and the plumbing leaks but other than that things went great Thanks to flounder for the tank and help, it looks cool even when filled up with only freshwater

Use warm water and toss the acid in, it should only take no more than 10min to get it done, the calcium on the rock or the coralline in the tank will kill the acid in know time at all.
I warned ya, it will foam up BIG TIME!! Get ready for a big head of foam; it’s not to be done inside!

After the foam is gone the smell will be gone, so most of the rinsing can be done inside.

It's not that bad to do in the house. I use the sink in the basement. There's a window in there to help air it out afterwards.

you can use 600, its for cleaning stone and masonry and can be used in colder temps outside without freezing. it mixes 50:1 for most uses but cna be mixed 25:1 water being the bigger number lol . Brock White stone place off 35E and first exit south of 494 its right near the coke place.

thanks for the offer but just used a buddys nipco heater and warmed it up enough to get it done.

I used muriatic acid in my bathtub in my apartment. Didn't really seem like a super big deal. It foams up, you direct the head of foam to the drain for 10 minutes. done. the smell really isn't bad at all, at least with ecorox.
