Man I hope there is not a story behind the neighbors TV downstairs!

I didn't use the PVC cement sparingly so according to my calculations, this means I should come home to a dry carpet :banana:

As for the skimmer.. it still wasn't functioning at the right level (not able to keep a bubbling head) when I left this morning so I hope it doesn't go TOO crazy and overflow spitting saltwater everywhere, I hate saltcreep! I turned it down a little bit just to be safe until I can observe it tonight.

I can't wait to get the LR in the sump and the new skimmer broke-in so I can leave everything alone until the frag swap! (for consistency's sake)

Seems that way when I post all the GOOD things on here, some of the things I don't post on here; The feeling of getting out of bed at 5am :)angryfire::censor::swear::bawling::confused:), working my life away everyday, and bills bills bills! But it works out and when I get to my "cool" car home to MY house and see my slice of the ocean, it all seems worth it.

It'll come your way Jace just have to work for it!

I came home from work today and everything was running great! I am actually very relieved about that, I was almost sure something was going to be out of place or not running correctly but everything is running very smoothly.

I immediately tackled my return line problem, it was too small and restricted the 1260 more than I thought because when I got the new return plumbing in place it kicked much more water up into the DT!

Here is what I got;

..oh and btw I love unions now, why didn't you guys tell me to use them before?! (Just kidding, I know I just didn't listen.. lOl)

Now I can easily remove my return pump for routine maint. something I could not accomplish before!

I've fallen in love with this sump already and it hasn't even come full circle yet, so much more room & so much more accessible.

Just a little update..

Up next;

- New door hinges on stand (old ones were rusting from salt splash)
- Install Macro Algae LED fixture (RapidLED)
- Re-install Carbon/GFO reactor
- Make a Skimmer output vent (under water level)
- Install automatic white LED bars, operated by opening and closing stand doors.

Hey Brian! Not much to report on, just more encrusting all around (the setosa frags are doing very well!). Added about 20lbs of dry rock to the sump a week or two ago, i'm thinking about pulling out the filter sock to see if it will help promote growth on the rocks, they were cooking for about 2 months before they were added to the sump but I really couldn't tell if it made a difference (couldn't see ANY growth on the rocks), probably didn't ghost feed it enough. But ahh well, live and learn.

I Sold my old sump and skimmer to Beau46290. My new RO XS160 is skimming on its own right now, its still breaking in a bit so im still getting a lot of wet skimmate, mostly green water really. (i'm hoping this will change with an increased bio-load)

Just trying to get the tank good and ready for all the goodies I will be taking home from the frag swap! May be looking at getting another clownfish at the swap; either a Black occ. or a Black ice clown.

I am looking into a DSLR camera to purchase during the sales these next coming weeks. Either a Canon T3 or Canon T3i, I may need to make a thread on here so someone with Photography skills can help me make a decision.

Also, I will be pulling the trigger on a BRS 2-part package this week so I can quit using a Kalk-fed ATO and finally use my Tunze Osmolator.

I will try and get some pictures of the tank (pre-frag swap) and sump tomorrow night after work!

Post-Frag Swap Update
More SPS!

Today I attended my first Frag-Swap, it was a great time, I loved every minute of it! Thank you TCMAS and the events committee for taking the time to make this happen!

Anyway, I picked up a handful of SPS today at the swap. I wanted to get a couple more pieces but on my 2nd walk through some were already snatched up! ..and yes i'm talking to you guy who bought the last Strawberry Shortcake while I was waiting in line! Lol..

Here are some pictures of the ones I could get semi-decent pictures with my P&S; (as decent as they get folks, be patient my new Canon T3i should be arriving this week! :cool:)

Ok how did I miss the strawberry short cake? If it was at the kick azz table then What can I say that was one table I somehow intended to stop by but completely missed

If you didn't stop by the KickAzz Coral table you missed out man! They had AWESOME stuff!

The Strawberry ShortcakeS (he had 3 frags) came from the Anenomes, Clowns, and Corals booth. It was the only vendor I saw that had them..

Beefy or something was the name? I picked up some stuff and there was others I wanted.... Nanofins beat me to it... :grr:
