More Pictures!
Took out the camera again yesterday while I was couch ridden from New Years Eve activities. After reading up on more and more photography tips, and watching many of youtube videos I think I finally "kind of" have a grasp on the basics of taking pictures with a DSLR and how the big 3 components interact with each other.
2 Newest editions to the tank:
Black Ocellaris
Lubbocks Fairy Wrasse (Male) - Caught him flashing, kind of why I broke out the camera.
Pink Lemonade - Fall Frag Swap coral, encrusting nicely.
PC Rainbow Acro - Fall Frag Swap coral, growing like crazy!!
ORA Red Planet - 3rd SPS added to tank, struggled a bit at first but is growing nicely now
Royal Gramma - or Royal G (as I like to call him) doing his thing; policing the other tankmates.

- Camera: Canon T3i, Lens: Standard 18-55mm f/5.6
- I am taking the photos with Auto White Balance and changing the white balance with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, I will soon be getting Adobe Lightroom because it is better suited to do just that.
- I know! The Rainbow acro has gone nuts!
- The tank has been up since the middle of May, so about 8 months now. There have been some major changes since then, ie: sump change-out, replaced substrate, adding MUCHO flow!

First of all I shoot in Manual so I can adjust everything.

Auto White Balance
Auto Focus
100 ISO
f/6.3
shutter speed: 1/25 - 1/30 (depending on the f/stop, one step higher f/stop = 1 step lower shutter speed)
Fish Pics:
Auto White Balance
Auto Focus
200 ISO
f/5.6
Shutter: 1/80

Hey Connor!
I had a custom sump made by TCMAS' very own "ArstenA" aka Brian. He does great work for a good price and is an extremely nice guy. He can pretty much do whatever it is you want out of your sump!
It took a solid 4-5 hours but I did it all in one night, I first started by removing all the water in the sump as well as another 1-2 gallons out of the main DT to make sure no water makes it to the overflow box because I removed all of my plumbing as well.
Make sure to place a heater in your DT and have good flow throughout the process.
**Step 0: Make sure you have EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED! (Go over the process in your mind over and over until you are happy that you have all the necessary equipment, tools, and materials for the job.)
Step 1: Removed sump water and all equipment
Step 2: Remove sump
Step 3: Remove Plumbing
Step 4: Place new sump and start cutting and cementing plumbing together from overflow box, down to sump. (One tool I recommend is a PVC pipe cutter, it is $15 at HD and worth every penny, such a breeze cutting right through PVC up to 1.5")
Step 5: Add equipment
Step 6: Add new water
Try to limit the amount of time the DT is cut off from the sump, less stress on your livestock equals happy livestock

The whole problem I have is I don't know how to get my current sump out and my new sump in. I currently have a 30 long and I had to cuz a hole in the back of the Stan just to get it in. And I had to move it a ways away from the wall it is against. Did you have the same problem? How did u end up movin it out so you can get them in and out?
