Tank Update!!

As promised..

Tank update!!

Picked up 3 SPS corals at the Reef2Reef.com and Cherry Corals Acropalooza live sale;

- Pokerstar Monti
- Sunset Monti
- Hellboy Acro -----

also won two $25 gift cards playing the mini games inside the live sale thread, all in all a great time! Koletang and Pumbooris were there with me the whole time (lasted until 3am).

Picked up my first clam at SWE a couple weeks ago, it is doing well and I think I may have to pick up another one soon :)

Anyway, i'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves for this update. The Wild are on and I don't work tomorrow so we'll see where the night goes!

GO WILD!

Pictures!!!

First two separate FTS'; 1 with a custom white balance in camera (white object in tank trick) and 1 with the highest kelvin white balance available in camera.

Wow!. It gets better every time!

What's your bulb combo? 6 bulb Tek?

Thanks dude, 6 Bulb TEK from front to back:
Blue+

Purple+

I do have a 48" all blue reefbrite that I have been running for 2 hours at the peak of my lighting schedule but I have been ramping that down lately and I might take it off all together, not sure yet.

your sand is so CLEAN! It really.looks first class!

Tropic Eden Reef Flakes, does wonders :) Thanks man!

Is that the new reefbrite model with more LEDs or the old one?

Why not run it in the evening also to get some crazy color pop?

It is the first version Reefbrite, not the newest one. I used to run it with 2x Blue+ at night and there was so much shimmer I didn't like it lol..

Love the top down views, I'm all about bringing out the colors first, 2nd- growth.

New favorite as well! :)

I need to stop looking at this thread it makes me want to redo my 75!!! I'm already considering switching my rocks to brs reef saver dry rock that has been cured!

I wouldn't do it any other way! I love how I can piece together the BRS reef-saver rock into any shape and structure!

awesome build up dude. i like all of your sps you have chosen. looks like the joe the coral is taking off!...im stealing that power switch idea for my tank. i like that one better than the american dj one everybody has plus its only $33 on amazon right now.

Absolutely! The blue switched match the EcoSmart Vortechs also :) And Thanks! When I started adding corals I decided I only would buy corals that I REALLY wanted, not just any old coral, and I think that has really helped the wallet and keeping it new and fresh because I get to keep crossing corals off the list every couple weeks or months. Way better than buying a lot all at once IMO.
