In the last few months I have been surprised with the interest in the saltwater world in the mankato area let alone souther mn

Who would be interested in getting together once a month to bs.

Im thinking a weeknight. Like first Tuesday of each month. Bc in the summer time weekends don't work well for me along with a lot of other folks.

I have realised like with any hobby not every one cares to hear how you found a better way to do water changes or the attitude of your fish/corals. Lol. Is allways nice to be able to sit down and bs bout the hobby and whatever.

Could meet up at my place again or have It some where like the wow zone in mankato. Or random paces month to month.

If have interest in this post here, if you don't well …… keep browsing haha
 
Fyi if any one from not in the mankato are would be interested more then welcome to join us.

We created a long time ago here on the forum the "Social Groups"
Unfortunately it died of after a while and at some point I created a poll to ask members if they wanted to keep them or not as I didn't wanted to set them up again in the forum wehen not wanted.
The majority of members wanted to keep them.

You are more then welcome to create a new "Social Group" and have your little dedicated forum for you guys to chit chat.
 
I know their are about 6 of us in Rochester that would be interested in one, Mankato is about the same distance as it is to the cities and with a single lane highway, so not sure how many would head that way.

Should just meet in the Owatonna area since its basically smack dab in the middle...

I might be interested in this as well. I am in St. Peter so Mankato is just a bit down the road. Owatonna would not be so bad either. Would like to get a little more involved and put some faces to names.
 
I'm from way up in the twin cities. I was shocked when I saw how many people from the area showed up to Saturdays meeting. So awesome! Hopefully we can swing down again for a meeting. Hope this mini gathering gets up and going again.
 
We will parb start doing this in Mankato and see how the turn out is month to month and go from there
 
Next Tues sounds good to me.

Myclang - I wasnt able to make the meeting on Saturday but I was also shocked by how many reef hobbiest are here in this area. When I first moved down here for school, I thought I would have been one of the few in the area.

Owatonna would be awesome. Like Dougers31 said... smack dab in the middle.
I would love to get together and put names to faces and all... and talk saltwater.
