AGA 180g...dammit about time! After 2 tries...1st time there the truck got stuck in the bad snowstorm we had and the 2nd was chipped a big chuck...3rd times a charm I guess...lol

No stand though...That's hopefully coming friday!

Just ordered a 24" custom canopy *lidless* should go well with the modern stand (oak).

How much did it set you back?

I think wet world is selling one them for $499 this month only...not sure...I paid well over $600 in store credit...The price was still great because it was on special reg. sale price is $750 I believe...Wet world probably had it for a while and just need to get rid of it or they got some special deal...the other fish store didn't get.

I like the 180G's Nice dimations

72x24x24 is great...actually I measured the actually *viewing glass* it's 21 inches not 24 in.

25 inches total height including trim support bracket...

Side note:

Now I'm concerned about the canopy being 24 in. high...and the actual glass view is only 21in. what do u guys think? Should I have it lower by 4 in.?

I dont think you will notice the 3 inch difference. Or it might stick out like a sore thumb. Mines going "inwall" how thick is the glass?

It might look like a in wall unit...lol it is going to be a tall piece...31 in. stand x 25 in. tank x 24 in. canopy = 80 inches = roughly 6ft. 8 in. high, my ceiling is 9ft.

tank is 1/2" thick

This might help lol

Just got the Stand...Dam the oak stain is pretty old looking...aww wellz, I have it now...gotta live with it

Finally I'm 50% setup...just ran the tank to see if anything is leaking and we are good...including the sump area (below tank) I'd say my floors/trust is holding great...I jumped a bit to see if anything wobbles or shakes and i'd say I'm confident it's very stable after the full fill and sump being fully operational.

I got 40 lbs of LR to seed my Eco Rox from Shadow (Eric, thanks for the great price!) I had to take my eco rox out again...to rinse further and clean it a bit more...I'll post more later on as far as the landscaping part w/o rods and stands, just plain landscaping...lol

Yes, the 54 LEDs do give it a nice shimmer ;) Sorry the tank is still cloudy

Personally, I think that tanks with similar sized canopies look awkward. You have this big beautiful tank, then this huge dull looking thing above it. I really like Morty's tank/canopy, and he has enough room to house some really good lighting. Think outside the box.

Pics look great. Can't wait to see the progression.
