gguertin's 180g In Wall Build (1 Viewer)

Don't know if I would trust the bulkheads the way they are shown there. Are you going to use a bulkhead on each tank and link them with a piece of PVC?

I was going to but talked with a few people from RC and decided I would do a wood spacer between the tanks so it is glass/wood/glass... as long as I support the glass it should be the same as attaching my external overflow box, glass, and internal overflow box?

More pictures to come this weekend. Going to try and get water in the tank by Sunday :)

Very cool! I like in-wall tanks!
Ends up looking like moving art!

Broke my 29g tank trying to tie the sump together :(

Looking for a 29g if anyone has one they can get rid of for cheap...

Got a 29g thanks Sabath!

Drilled again time to try the frag tank in line with the sump again...

Had the scrubber up and running for about 12 hours before the 29g tank cracked now it is moved onto a 20g tank trying to keep it going and get it seeded.

Tried seeding the scrubber with some algae from a friends scrubber... Has anyone had luck with this or any advice on speeding up the cycle process with a new system?

Second 29g drilled and moved into place. This time I will not be using the 1 bulkhead system I tried last time... The water leaked back through the threads on the bulkhead and then out through the wood spacer in the middle. I think this would have worked if I would have put a gasket between the tanks but now I am going to take the time to try and use a bulkhead on each side with pvc in between like normal...

The two sumps are now attached together. The left is going to be a frag tank the right will be my actual sump with the turf scrubber, heater, probes from apex, and return pump.

A few updated pictures. I have been making progress but very slowly.

Here is one of the quarantine stand. I will have a 40g on top and 2 20g on the bottom 2 shelves.

I will show the trim when I do it but will likely be another month before hand. I am getting into the fun part of stocking the tank right now :)

The flow was with 2 tunze pumps and 2 oceanrunner return pumps... somewhere between 7-9k gpg depending on how I tune the tunze.
