Hey everyone, just made my first sale on R2R! Yay! The recipient is in Missouri, where the temps are predicted to hover in the low to mid 80s. My question is: With delivery by 10:30am, these temps should not call for a cold pack, correct? Thanks for your help!

Nope, you should be fine without a cold pack. Just make sure the box is insulated well. The temps drop overnight obviously, so you won't need to worry about it getting too warm. Plenty of water and packing/insulation are your friend!

I'll check how much of a discount, but apparently my dad gets like $10 off with UPS too.

Just checked, seems like they get about $15 off...still, I think i'd prefer being able to ship the coral myself so I can get to the UPS office just before they load the trucks for the day.

You just buy the label through them then stick it on the package.

Uhg I have to ship this out tonight at just started wondering; will the airplane get too cold or is temperature maintained on it? I didn't imagine I would ever need a heat pack in the summer, but I could be wrong. Your fast response is much appreciated!

Edit: Determined I don't need to...but, I did come up with another question! What should I tell the ups people it is if they ask me? It says perishable on the side, and the box is small, so i'm thinking "really high end cup cakes." Sound good?

Tell them it is a live animal. Write on the side of the box "this side up...live fish"

There are several threads on this on R2R in the shipping forum. The consensus was to tell them "Aquarium Decorations" so you are not lying. Sometimes they will not let you ship if you say anything "live". I don't see a need for the box to say perishable as you are overnighting it. You can't make it any more urgent.

Great, thanks! I would rather it not say perishable on it, but alas, it is printed on the side of the box :( LOL
