I am cycling a little 5 gallon fish tank for a Betta and wondered if I could use my API saltwater testing reagents for freshwater during the cycle. Figured out that yes you can, but you need different color cards for saltwater VS Freshwater.

I found a spot online that has them posted and check this out - WAY EASIER to hold your test vials up to the computer screen for color comparison than it is to try to hold them against the cards!

Can't believe this never occurred to me before
:stupid:

Not sure how much it matters but beware as any photog will tell you... Computer screens are all different and are not true colors unless calibrated...

Way to ruin my parade! Kidding - I actually held up the cards I had to the screen and they are spot on with my monitor - but yeah - totally didn't think about the monitor variance

If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's green or red your fish are dead.

Not sure why you even need the cards.
