-Meeting- 2018 Business Meeting/Elections/Event Commitee Meeting 10-12 (1 Viewer)

Whatever you decide, you decide, but man was it cool to earn that Lifetime Member status. Actually, I had a few goals:

Lifetime Member
10 year veteran status
1000 posts

But that lifetime member I was proud of. I'm glad I got to experience that feeling. I'm not going to going to be at the business meeting, and I'm not going to cry about whatever is decided. You all will do what's best for the club. I'll still continue to host meetings in future -- because I want to. I'm just glad we still have this forum and it hasn't moved over to being a facebook group instead. Thanks for that!

The business meeting is next Friday (10-12) just a week away.

Please keep your RSVP'S current.

This does count as a club meeting and will start/ renew your membership.

Don't forget, this Friday evening is the business meeting.
October 12th.

This does count as a club meeting for membership.

Business meeting is tomorrow night.

How hard would it be to have a couple of food trucks show up instead? do they charge us to show up?
Great idea!

Can Ben, Larry, Ernie, and I get non-revocable LIfetime status and platinum memberships since we started the club?

The BOD curtsies in your general direction

2018 Annual TCMAS Business Meeting Minutes- October 12th

All positions that were up for election ran unopposed. So current BOD Members and their remaining terms are:

o President Ryan Snodgrass (RSnodgrass) 2 years

o Treasurer Angie Charpenter (ACharpenter) 1 year

o Director Nick Zaccardi (NickZ) 1 year

o Director John Berns (Patent) 2 years

o Secretary Amy Zaccardi (AmyZ) 2 years
· Name Tags/Lanyards; providing name tags/lanyards to club members that request them. They will be brought to meetings/expos for people to pick up.

· Volunteer Tags/Lanyards; neon color tags stating “Expo Volunteer” along with neon color lanyards so that it is easier for people to know who to go to for assistance at expos.

· Upcoming Events and Expenses discussed

· Sponsor/Vendor Donations. AmyZ and Darksky will be doing this.

· Ikserk our Computer Administrator is AWESOME!!!!!!! He is currently trying to fix/work linking PayPal to the forum so that when supporters pay they receive automatic access.
· Lifetime Status was agreed that after 1 year of inactivity that the member would be placed into a “Legacy Lifetime” status. At which point, if the member decided to come back/become active again contacting the BOD would reinstate their Lifetime status.

· Was agreed that Supporters can now host club meetings.

· Discussion on how to let people know how to go about becoming a Lifetime Member or Member and how to let members/supporters know what is involved for hosting meetings.

· And Jason Langer IS NOT a Packers fan

It is always discussed ;):BigLaugh

For what it is worth, I like the legacy lifetime idea. I was against removing the lifetime status when the BOD 1st discussed it. I think this is a fair compromise. Well done!

DarkSky came up with it, pays to have the Binary guys at the meetings!

***EDIT TO MEETING NOTES***
By Law 1.3 was approved to be changed.
You can also find the By Laws here: http://www.tcmas.org/forums/pages/bylaws/

1.3 Lifetime Membership

A lifetime membership is granted to any member who hosts a TCMAS sponsored event or serves as an officer. The Board of Directors may also grant lifetime memberships at its discretion by a majority vote. A lifetime membership lasts for the natural life of the member, subject to the termination provisions of section 1.4. A lifetime member who is inactive for a consecutive period of 12 months will be dropped to a Legacy Lifetime status. If the member becomes active after the Legacy membership is applied they will have their Lifetime status reactivated upon contacting the Board of Directors.

What the difference between active and legacy status? What defines active?

Btw just read the laws... I was one vote away from banishing myself when I was a BOD member... dang
