Having problems logging in (1 Viewer)

Explorer works fine now, it did not before. Chrome still not saving login with laptop. I can login, select stay logged in, close chrome, open chrome and will need to log back in. I can repeat this over and over. Just a heads up.. It could just be me also. At work using laptop with chrome I never experienced a log in issue.

My phone makes me log in every other time.

I am not having problems logging in any longer, but it will not keep me logged in even if I click the stay logged in box.

so what happened was that the forum was placing HTTPS://tcmas.org/forum/..... link in notification emails for conversation/posts. if you had logged in on HTTP://tcmas.org/.....you would be presented with a login.

The next time you sit at your computer/phone and load TCMAS forums, if you type in HTTPS://tcmas.org/.... you would still be logged in, if you clicked a bookmark or link to HTTP://tcmas.org/....you would be prompted for login.

The notification emails going out now are back to HTTP links. I had changed it to link to HTTPS last Friday when I was testing the new SSL certificate that I installed. After testing, Jeremy forgot to change the email links back to HTTP.

at the end of the day (assuming you don't click on the HTTPS links from notification emails sent to you between Friday afternoon and this morning, you should be good.

For now continue surfing TCMAS on HTTP (non-SSL) to avoid this issue.

Eventually, once I straighten out a bunch of other needed changes with the SSL roll-out, I will cut over to SSL permanently and will redirect all HTTP traffic to HTTPS.

if you understood none of the above, you probably feel like this:

I was not complaining. As long as I can figure out a way to get in some way or another I am fine. I was just informing.

@VikingsCrazy my above post was also intended to be informational. I did not mean to imply I thought you were complaining, on the contrary, I appreciate you bringing this to my intention. Those who don't notify are often left without resolution.

Hearing issues out and fixing them is exactly why TCMAS has enlisted my help!

if you're paying, i have a pretty good DJ voice. J-squared could perform at the raffle table.

in high school I worked at a dairy/ice cream place with a drive-thru and over the couple years I worked there, amassed about dozen job offers by entertainment/dj companies for my voice alone. true story.

Laptop works fine and keeps me logged in... phone, not so much. It will keep me logged in for maybe an hour or so but then have to log in again.

My phone has never changed. I get logged out 9 out of 10 times. I thought it was everyone still. Lol

Any updates on this?

so i'm kinda of stuck for technical reasons. one way to sidestep the problem would be for you to clear your browser cache (Technical answer: clear your browser cache to wipe out your browser forcing a redirect to HTTPS:// which I temporarily had enabled two weekends ago.)

Now, I could put on the server a forced redirect to HTTP://, but that in conjunction with a possible cached permanent redirect back to HTTPS:// would create an infinite redirect loop.

What is causing delays is the needs to have all images/assets loaded in every post to be loaded over SSL (HTTPS://)

The constant log in happening to some users is due to your browser flopping between HTTP:// and HTTPS:// due to a cached redirect.

TL;DR; try clearing your browser cache.

I am sorry I am not trying to be a dbag, but this has gotten rather annoying. I have tried everything you have stated yet I still have to log in 10 times/day. I guess maybe because I am a dinosaur when it comes to social media and computer crap I am the only person still having problems. If so, I will just shut up and keep it to myself.
