2x2 cube build (1 Viewer)

Understood. Thanks for the additional explanation though.

That Aussie live rock is super nice stuff!! And light too like you said unlike the old Tonga beach that’s like the weight of iron!

Rockwork looks great. And those look like some nice pieces. Do you have sort of idea what you plan to do for livestock?
Thanks! The pieces are MUCH nicer in person than I can capture with my phone. As far as livestock goes I really have no idea yet, the footprint of the tank and also being BB limits what creatures I can house happily. I'm always open to suggestions!

I completely AGREE! I really love how porous and light this stuff is. It might be my favorite yet. I just wish it didn't cost so much :D

The rock has been a fantastic addition. I haven't gone through any of the typical new tank uglies except a slight dusting of diatoms that lasted a day or so. I've done a few equipment "upgrades" while waiting for the tank to settle in and find it's rhythm before adding any corals and while waiting for the first batch of fish to be done in QT.
First I was lucky enough to find someone to trade my new MP10 for a MP40.. Thanks Jake! I ended up switching both pumps to MP40's and LOVE the additional flow that it gives. I'm running a schedule through Mobius that is a combo of Reef Crest, Constant, Nutrient Transport, and Lagoon that I love.
My Radion R30 blue is running one of the WWC programs with intensity set way low at like 20 just to keep some light over the tank.
My newest upgrade was to change skimmers from the Vertex to the Reef Octopus Regal 150-SSS. The old skimmer was performing just fine, but I wanted something with a bit more controllability.

I put my Neptune Trident online just for giggles because what's the fun of having a new "toy" if you're not going to use it?

Other than that.. just chugging along. Waiting patiently to stabilize so I can add some of the "fun stuff."

Added another 5 pounds (which fills 2 chambers) of the Australian live rock "rubble" (this time I ordered it from The Tank Stop) to the sump for added bacteria/surface area since the tank is BB. Man I LOVE this stuff! I also ordered a lid from Octo Aquatics which should be here around the first of April, right about the time I introduce the first fish to the tank. Other than that... chugging along.. staring at a bare tank while things settle in.
