Looks good! I like the rock work.

Looking good so far! I like the rocks you chose as well!
Thank you! I have so much rock, I took a select few of my favorites and kept dinking around with them till I was finally happy. Shockingly enough, I got it on the first try. I never just step back and am happy - except this time. I am in awe of myself! :gay1:

I feel like a creeper tryin to see what was going on in the reflections.....

Yo, I totally do the same thing. I'm not creeped out. :rotflmao:

I finally finished filling her up. After sitting in my living room for several months begging to be filled, she's finally wet :)rotflmao: Wait for it......) I will post pictures tomorrow when I can take them in the daylight. It's 1:45 AM and my 5.5 gallon has seen water for the first time! Yay! Now to begin cycling! I should try to find some type of bacterial additive to kick start the cycle. :goldfish::agree:

:gay1: Glad to be of assistance! :biglaugh2:

Also, thank you for all the compliments on the rockwork! I was very proud of it myself, and I love the affirmation that it looks good! I appreciate all the feedback!

On another note, as promised, here is the very first picture of her post-water! I also have a koralia nano on the back, which, much to my bliss, is hard to see against the black background!

I did, I am doing barebottom. At least for a while. I am thinking about doing a Randall's goby, and obviously will need sand for that. At first though, I'm definitely going to do barebottom. Glad to see you following along! :greenguy:

Photo Updates!

Doing a vinegar wash on the AC50 and koralias to be used in the 5 gallon, along with other equipment! This was approximately 25% (if not more) vinegar and hot water.

Waterchange time?!

I would wait till the nitrite was zero. Looks like it is .25 , I always wait till I see nitrates increase or see diatoms. But I am not that experienced.

I probably won't see diatoms for a while, since I only have my t5 lights on for just over 3 hours a day. I've been keeping the photoperiod short since I haven't needed it. I'm still debating what I want to do for lighting in the long run. I really like the idea of using stunner strips for lighting. I got the coralife mini as a temporary lighting setup since I knew I was getting coral at the swap and needed lighting. Perhaps once funds allow, I'll throw an Ecoxotic panorama on there for the main lighting and the stunners as supplemental lighting.

i made a fug with an aquaclear 110 and it was awesome. i used the same light you have on your tank right now to light it. it grew like crazy!

Long overdue updates on this tank!

I have a couple cuties occupying this quaint little 5.5 gallon apartment now! Two beautiful black ice clowns came home with me a few months ago from Discovery Aquatics. Thank you so much Jay! They are my pride and joy. I absolutely adore them! They have been lovingly named Zeus and Hera.

Alongside the ecoxotic stunner strips, I had a Coralife Aqualight Mini lighting this tank. As you can see it was a nice light and did a good job of illuminating the tank. For some reason though, I just wasn't satisfied with it.

So I very recently picked up this absolutely awesome Beamswork LED fixture for the tank from FishMonger (thanks Brian!) and I was blown away by how amazing the tank looks under these lights. After adding the still un-modded AC50 for flow, the tank shimmers like crazy! It is totally stunning! The little ones were hiding out in the corner because I had just rearranged their furniture and did a long-overdue 3 gallon water change, but this picture perfectly shows off the gorgeous color that the light creates!
