I do still need Locline, mine is broken, and I don't have any other.

Egg crate is cut and placed, and tank is cleaned! Pictures are taken, but too darn tired to update with photos.

I have some but I'm a long way from Medford. If you can wait until you pick up the fish or until the swap its yours.

I still have the pieces I offered to give to Matt for ya 2 weeks ago as well

Matt is about to get an azz kicken on the locline lol

Thank you Bill and Angie, I appreciate your generosity! Since I'm on a budget, if I can get it free I'd definitely prefer to do that than have to buy new.

Well I've been doing a lot of work on the tank lately. Any chance I get to work on it, I have! Pics or it didn't happen? You got it! Photographic evidence shall ensue!!

Couple weeks back, Matt siliconed the baffles into my 20L sump. It's a simple design. There is no section for a refugium. Instead, I have two sections. Obviously, there is one section for a skimmer (RO XP1000SSS, not yet purchased). The baffles will be screened off with 1/4" clear mesh netting and stuffed with chaeto. I'm thinking that it will be a nice filter media for me, as well as a bubble trap and hopefully will discourage algae growth in the display (hopefully). The last section will be for a return, obviously, but the pump itself will be sectioned off either by egg crate or by the same clear netting. That way I can use that space for temporary holding area if need be.

I plan to use a Finnex FugeRay over the width of the baffle section to support the chaeto.

I got some egg crate from guy9smiley2 and it was just the right amount! It was an odd shape when I got it, so I ended up cutting four pieces that fit together perfectly. In this first picture, you can also see how much dead coraline was on the overflow.

Egg crate!

After David Grigor suggested using Muriatic acid, I gave it a try. After testing the diluted solution on inconspicuous/unimportant places on the overflow and silicone, I was pleased that it didn't affect either one. I ended up decreasing the dilution from 10 to 1 to 4 to 1 and it worked much more quickly and didn't have any negative effects. Afterwards, I sprayed and wiped it down with water. While I was at it, I also did my two Koralia 750's.

Yay clean!

Me being frustrated because I can't get past that darned reflection to get a picture that shows how clean the tank is!!

That's a little better!

Next, I started to rinse out a bunch of sand. I got some nice sand from roushy and it needed to be cleaned! Since it was already fine grained sand, I just rinsed it in the bucket like most people do, but I also had some crushed coral and medium grain sand from my old 29 gallon (for sale) that I decided I could make use of. So the crushed coral and medium grain sand was sifted through a strainer and the small bits that made it through were added to what I already had.

Ta-dah!! Sand is down!

And lastly, here is the positioning of the two koralias. They are next to the overflow, since my return is on the opposite corner. I may or may not move the lower one up a bit, depending on if it kicks up a lot of sand. I have it directed upwards, so hopefully it won't.

Welp! That's it for updates right now. Next I'm gonna rinse off the eco rock that I also got from Roushy, and work on scaping that!

Looking good =) you and your reflection shots, makes a good laugh haha. Looks like you and Matt put in some good work its almost ready =)

FYI: What I have technically isn't Loc Line. Its the stuff that came with the Mega Overflow system that came with my 215 Oceanic and its new. I used different plumbing from the start.

Bill, as long as I can use it, I don't much care what the brand is!

You's a good friend!

If you have koralias, use the magnetic backside on the inside of the overflow. That's how I did it. The suction cup won't stick to the textured surface, so you have to go by magnet. It was a pain to get it down there because I had to squeeze my arm between the two pipes and the overflow, but I'm happy with it now that it's there. Moving it should be pretty simple, because the backside should move with it if I decide to move the powerhead up at all.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone! I'm having a lot of fun with this build, especially with my livestock waiting on me, giving me motivation to get this done faster! Update coming next!
