100 gallon artisanII BY CADLIGTHS (1 Viewer)

ok so finally got a hold of Eddie he said that the seal look like that so the top is even and for to look clean . so i told him that i shouldn't have to do any work to the tank that is why i purchase it new and not used . so i told him i wanted some of my money back for the trouble and the time am gonna spend fixing something that should off been done from the beginning, they also said that the over flow only needs to be seal on the sides and not the bottom, i laugh when i herd that . i told him , so what happens if my pump stops all the water is gonna go thew the bottom and overflow the sump .
things people do to get out of paying money back .

Pete,

If you need some help let me know. I've seen (and built) enough tanks now to be able to give you a hand. As long as the seams do not contain major bubbles and the silcone adheres to the the full edge of the glass with a nice thick bead you are not going to have problems. I can take a look at it if you'd like. Honestly I would cut that overflow box off (I can help) and resilicone it and you'd be good to go. I've had custom glass cut 3-4 times with starfire and it is next to impossible for everything to be perfectly symmetric once glued if the tank was hand built. Don't let this stress you out more than is has too:freak6:

What he ^ said; except this is a brand new tank, Pete or anyone shouldnt have to do anything except fill it up with water and take pretty pics. Like someone suggested if paid via credit card, consider disputing it.

I don't think its all that uncommon that the overflows are not completely water tight. All you have to do is add a stand pipe and the tank water will only drain down to the top of the pipe. Its also quieter because the water doesn't fall as far.

Ok so after all the calls I did with cads they decided to refund me $300 of what I've paid them . I think it was I smart choice of them .

Question !!!!!
So I have water fish and rock on the system .my question is what did I do wrong ?
My water is cloudy and my snails are dying in there. The rock is live so is the sand what could I be doing wrong, the fish are happy .
