135 in-wall tank build (1 Viewer)

Looking nice!
I would personally say now bridge, but either way it will look amazing!
I envy you :swear:

Thanks! About the no bridge comment...still undecided. I guess I can always add a bridge later if I want.

I just  when people get greedy with how much rock they can stuff in their tanks and then it just looks ugly...but I don't think a Bridge would make much of a difference. It depends on the type of corals you want to keep around there.

Small update:
Purchased screen to put over tank at BRS today. Before the fish go in I will have this in place. I lost a blue green chromis that went carpet surfing.

Today got a sweet nem and 3 yumas(pink, orange, green) from Discovery Aquatics. Thanks Jay. Here is a phone pic of the new Nem bagged up ready for the trip to its new home. The picture does not do this justice. It has a nice purple/dark pink foot green into pink tips and is sparkled.

I vote for the bridge. You have so much height in the tank I think it would look good to use it. Would add some balance as well. More rock on the right to equal out with the left.

Thanks. Dream fish list....

Want to keep the total fish around 20 or less!!

Have:
Pair of Mandarins
Pair of Clowns

For sure want:
1. Blue spot jawfish. Hoping he makes his home in the front center cave. Will do what I can to make that happen.

2. 2 Tangs for sure. Powder Blue is probably my favorite followed by Purple.

Others I have to figure out::
3. I have 3 Chromis in tank now, might add more for a school of them.

4. Wrasse trio?? Want smaller wrasses. Melanarus I am getting rid of got too big.

5. Anthias??

Time for an update. I got a purple tang that wasn't friendly with the other fish. So right now my tank is tangless.

Have my pair of Mandarins, pair of clowns, purple firefish, 5 Chromis and blue spot jawfish. He made his home front and center in the large cave. :)

I got my mixing station plumbed(2 65 gallon tanks with external pump plumbed together), thanks Adam. The ro/di is plumbed into the water lines and works on a float switch. I make sure the mixing station tanks are pretty full but don't leave the water on at all times. The float switch is very nice to have since I was very good at having wet floors while making fresh water and forgetting it was on.

Wiring is done to hardwire my apex to my router. Just need to get my apex off the old 75, do a software update and reprogram for the in-wall. Plan is to also have a couple webcams, one in front of tank and one in back to monitor sump.

Tank is doing well besides a small algae outbreak. I did have a aiptasia outbreak, which some Nudis are taking care of right now. One thing I have gotten better with in this hobby is to not worry about outbreaks of algae or aiptasia etc. Its hard for a tank to always look perfect. Small changes in feeding or more frequent water changes/siphoning can help, it just takes time. Kent Tech M does knock out Bryopsis and Aiptasia can definately be eradicated by nudis.

Will be adding a refugium to the center area of my sump which is currently housing some rock. This was in my initial plans it just hasn't been done yet.

Once the 75 is down and apex hooked up I will get some new pictures of the tank, sump area and mixing station.

Will try to get some pictures soon. Here is a quick picture of my new Jawfish and my RSC Rainbow Chalice. Ignore the algae please.

thank you i think i will have to get some

Try to get one that has been grown from a frag. I got mine from Meisen at a frag swap over a year ago. Some need to be fed and some will be ok with just your lights. If you get larger piece it will most likely have come in right out of the ocean and you will have a harder time keeping it alive. They are not an easy coral.

I am slowly mounting my corals to the rockwork to clean up the sandbed. Here is my Yuma rock.
