Overfill, hold with opening upright, tap it till the bubbles are on top (by the opening) and squirt the bubbles (and extra fluid) out the top.

Back from a long overdue vacation :banana: ended too soon :freak6:
Nothing unexpected on the tank front, things that could go wrong when on vacation... well... did their thing, they failed at the worst time.
first of the GFCI kept tripping... chose to do it when I would'nt be accessing the internet at all for two days.. and those two days happened to be cold days and nights... luckily the water in the basement didnt get too cold.. 66F-68F no casualties from that AFAIK; few reasons the water did not get any colder was prior to my vacation I moved the basement setup higher up by increasing the height of the stands with the knowledge that air higher in the room will be warmer. next I made sure to put the skimmer on the same circuit as the return pump so if the circuit failed the skimmer would suck in all the cold air. Next thing was to bump up the whole home heating to 75F and add extra insulation as much as I could before the flight.
How did I find the GFCI tripped? co-incidence .. the Apex went offline and stayed offline although power was restored (restting the GFCI) by a buddy who was watching the tank.
Bad things have a way of happening more than once... the GFCI tripped again and the Apex was still offline, it also happened at this time that the ATO litermeter pump had stopped pumping water. the water level in the sump had gone below coral level, lost a few nice chalices, Acans and SPS. Chris Goetz helped out fixing this situation. Big Thanks CG! however the LM failed over again, thankfully my buddy knew what to do and dumped pure RODI to restore level.
The calcium reactor decided to take a leak :swear: and had to be taken offline as it was dripping water where it could be very hazardous
One last thing, the overflow box seam in the fuge that had held on well for 2 years gave way and this meant that the salinity shot up... dont think this caused any issues, the fish still look nice and healthy.
Good news, the Alpha Vertex 300 did a grand job of skimming out all the dead corals... the skimmer body is covered in thick sludge... its going to be a yucky cleaning ordeal. the Grotech doser kept the balance in the tank by dosing ca and alk. Friends proved their worth again, by giving endless grief while still watching and fixing the tank, the world would be so boring without them. Given a choice I would still prefer friends and family over automation and hope I get to sit a tank so I return the favor lol
I have my task cut out to get the tank house in order again quickly.

Not sure what you mean by 3D, but they are shot with either a Nikon POS, Nikon D50 or now the iphone; all pics are jpegs, unprocessed straight from the camera

I dont know haha the pictures have a very 3D look to them when I view them on my phone....the coral and the shrimp seem to pop out more...im gonna have to fire up my desktop and see how they look on that

Those pics are under LEDs and it has a very ghostly look. it looks even better in person... none of the digital cameras I've used seem to be able to capture good pics under LED

The GFCI hasnt tripped, everything was working the way it should. I will give myself a day or two to get over the jet lag before I start looking at stuff lest I do something silly.
I had siliconed an DIY overflow box to the stock tank I use as the fuge almost two years ago to maintain water level for the skimmer and at the same time not overflowing the sump, seems like the silicone parted when I rejigged the stands... the water level was lower by almost 4" in the fuge from when I left... this could explain the higher salinity reading you saw. Ideally if the tank wasnt moved the water pressure would've ensured the overflow box always remained glued to the tank.. but with the pressure off and Silicone not being plastic friendly gave way...
