16ANA 240G starfire mixed reef (1 Viewer)

Real big fan of that rock work Taklu, lots of room for the fish and future growth.

Hope you get the slime algae solved soon.

I finished plumbing the Herbie drain a couple of weeks ago and has been working nicely... co-incidence it got tested also... a Chromis chose to take the ride down the primary drain and the emergency took over nicely. Still not sure how the Chromis ended up.. but it was dead when I opened up the gate valve. I also use the drain to feed the Ca reactor, the PH inside reactor has held steady 6.23 and I'm not touching that

For supplement Ca and alk dosing I continue to dose Kalk with top off and also dose two part. This is cheap insurance in the event the Solenoid on the Co2 tank fails closed. The alk now falls rather quickly so cant risk a tank crash. Murphy is a dear friend and likes to watch over my tank while Im away :grr: hopefully I keep him busy looking for tricks someplace where it will not cause harm

One step at a time... added a larger overflow box to the fuge to fix an issue due to the ATS that was causing two issues due change in water levels... once the Algae growth cut the flow of water.. the water level in the Fuge would rise and this would cause the skimmer to flood and the level in the sump would fall causing ATO to dose more than needed. Keep in mind the top off is Kalk laced so not always good :micro: next stop - replace current ATS plumbing with next size plumbing

Keeping my hands crossed about the algae issue and keeping my hands off (the wallet) to buy anymore fish until the corals fill in and theres more hiding spots for smaller and larger fish. Hopefully I'm being responsible enough in my approach and doing the environmentally right thing

The corals have been doing well but they are begging for more light. sadly I'm very basically tech sasvvy and have not been able to get the Arduino to work with the RTC module..any help is welcome

I had plans to clean up a few more things but the weather out is just too good to spend my time entangled in stinky saltwater stuff :kackle:

102 to go :p

Wow! Manish your tank was amazing the last time i saw it. Looks 10X better now. Keep us updated.

Thanks Jim, since you be 10x nice to me.... you get more pics lol frags if you return to the hobby lol

Tank has been getting better and better since I added the second pump to the skimmer, which means its at full power now.. lot more left for potential.

In tank flow has been more than doubled, still looking for two more pumps so I can do an alternate flow pattern

Photoperiod on the ATS extended to 18 hours following the footsteps of DG.. if he wins I win, if he doesnt I will have some love for him lol
the photoperiod on the fuge is also upped to 18 hours, hope the chaeto loses it and goes crazy. I have used grape caluerpa before with great success, it was a smaller tank with a lesser risk.. who cared what a noob did anyway, the noob didnt :freak6:

Better pics (coz they were taken with a better more spendy camera than the iphone)
