20G Long AIO zoa garden (1 Viewer)

Seriously consider those eshopps frag plugs. Yes they are expensive for what they are but they are textured and don't look bad at all once in the tank. I've got several of them going now in the show. You can either use there mounting system or just take your rock and drill some 3/8" holes in it. As the spread over you can just replace them as a way to self contain and propagate at the same time.

Once my meeting is over in March, I plan to rework my zoanthid garden to better take advantage. This way can enjoy them much better than a rack and easy to propagate.

Just the corners would be pretty neat. You going high end zoas/palys or just your normal run of the mill zoas?

David- these will all be fresh frags and I have a few pounds of Rubble rock. My idea was to just frag my zoas onto the rubble and mount the rubble piece to the rock, but I have also used your suggestion to drill and place the plug into the rock.

My clang- I plan on doing a mixture. Most like will start with medium prices zoas such as my fruit loops, some sunny D's, ring of fires, fire and ice, orange bam bams, tubs blue, I just fragged my blue orgasms so probably stick those in as well. Prob some Green Bay packers as I love the green coloration. I might frag my cats eye pallys n stick some in. My Rastas and candy apple reds etc ill prob just keep in the frag tank and my only goal for those is to grow and frag to sell to buy more of others Haha

I spend about an hour or 2 a night. Feeding, re arranging what's needed, fragging, cleaning skimmers, following ATo, making ro when needed, water changes, etc. and somehow I actually still enjoy doing it all until I spill some water! Haha luckily it's concrete in my mixing room and a drain but it never fails I always make a mess.

hey if you don' tmind sharing could you tell me the dimension of the cutout you did for the divider between the display and equipment section? i planning on putting some baffles in my 20 long to make it a sump but i'm afraid i'll cut the acrylic too short for the silicone to be effective or too long and i've heard that with the temperate it can push out and break the glass thanks.

I bought it made so off hand unsure I'm home from work at 3 am can pm u then the width

6 plugs run $4 so on the pricey side but they blend in so well and low profile so being on your main rockwork won't stick out as much as rubble rock will. Can't hurt to try some out and see how you like. For a show/propagation all in one tank, I think it's the way to go. I was impressed with the ease of just popping them out and replacing for them to spread again makes it real simple once setup. I liked it enough after trying them out to buy several.

This is a bad fish kit. Worth the money IMO. It's silicone and play rather than cutting and all the mess.
My gf got me a new gun today while I'm at work so I can get the silicone in after work hopefully, ordered my locking from brs. Should be here tomorrow. So updated by fri hopefully with some progress. Wish me lick never used loc line myself yet I hope I got all I need!

You talked me into it! Ill try em out and plan on sinking the. Into the rock. I bought a few pounds of the tonga shelf rock from brs and some branching. I should be able to make a pretty sweet aqua scape with a nice cave for the fire shrimp. Thing it would be kind of cool pending what I get for tonga to put zoas on them to grow up in and have it almost like a zoa tree.

how wide is the display part of the tank gonna be? i emailed badfish about dims and have yet to get a response. im planning on using a 24" 4 bulb t5 and wanna rest one leg of the light on the aio wall. will this work? i dont really wanna hang this light i have too many holes in my ceiling as it is.

I'm using a 24" 150w mh fixture. What I did was mount it to 1/2" x 1/2" piece of wood and cut those to fit into the channels of the top trim. Works well.

nobody ever let me help them silicone anything, im terrible at it! haha wouldnt have been bad at all but the wall shifted a little while curing, but i think i got it all set where it needs to be and will hold water just fine. the back chambers were hard to get at and messy but theres a cover for that :p.

The nice thing about an AIO is that you can trim up that silicone with impunity. No worries about leaks!

Ya no worries if it leaks it leaks in the tank haha. I checked on if this morning well afternoon. Rock solid and looks like it sealed perfect. And kheebl the outside doesn't look too bad it's the inside of the wall that looks bad. So hard to get the big fun back there. But at least there's a cover :p.

Got all my plumbing parts, picking up my live rock tomorrow from Noah (omen) and it should be running by fri night as long as I got all the plumbing pieces I needed. First time doing plumbing and silicone and do far it seems to be working out.

What are the dimensions of the chambers? Thinking about gettin' one of badfish aio's myself...

That aio is sweet! I am having some custom work done by Bad Fish Reef Systems as well for my build! I should arive next week! Cant wait to see this tank going though!
