Starting last weekend this project is officially under way! I bought 40lbs of fiji-pink at SWE last Sunday and have my rockwork the way I want it for now.

Plan:
Unlike all previous changes I've made to this 20g and its ancestor the 10g, this build is going to be a slow build up of essential life needed to sustain my tank and my future pair of Bluestripe Pipefish. Here are all my current steps I will be taking from this point on.

1.) Get Macro Algae
2.) Insert Micro-Fauna
a. Mini-Brittle Stars
b. Amphipods
c. Tisbe Copepods
d.
(This gets pretty extensive)
3.) Add Macro-Inverts
a.Peppermint Shrimp

4.) Wait for shrimp to start spawning

This is just a brief overview of the stages. Will update it once I do some more research.

Make sure you keep your system at 74 degrees to inhibit vibrio infection. Doryrhamphus excisus is my favorite fish. Have fun with them! Males have tiny "saw tooth" bumps on their snout, and females lack those bumps, or they are less prominent.

So I guess my preset heater for 78 should be replaced?

Kinda forgot I still had this Thread....
UPDATE:

So now welcome to my Macro Algae graveyard tank. . . . I would highly discourage getting any Macro Algae from Reefs2Go besides ulva.
This is with just the 10ks on and plan on eventually getting regular daylight 6500k bulbs.

This is w/blues since the camera didn't pick up enough light without them.

Right side of my grave yard:

Central part of grave-yard, will have to kill that snail to make it official.

And some dis-colored flame algae that is growing off the rest of the decay in the tank.

If you have any dead or dying fauna feel free to give it the proper burial in this tank.

Thanks for looking!

Going to tare out all the prolifera in this tank an try again with a vendor. I am thinking LAreefs but they have everything except prolifera.... I will most likely do live plants and hopefully they get some back in stock. Will have to do a few heavy WCs to control nutrients but will still need some for nutrients for future macro algae.

I plan to add some peppermint shrimp in here as I literally have an over-kill skimmer for a tank with approx. 10 snails and Ulva...
