232 gallon build (1 Viewer)

No they do. But compared to the performance of the older magnetic dry side it puts out quite a bit more flow than the previous older generation.
For 6 foot length it works just fine IMO
Unless you got a peninsula and are trying to to push corner to corner
Makes sense. I do plan to start switching to EcoTech pumps in the future.

Would you look at the Jebao equivalent? I’ve heard good reviews overall about them. I still just don’t think I could bring myself to spend almost $500 per mp40. Barf.

I used Jebao years ago and was overall happy with them. My only requirement for equipment is it has to integrate into apex, when I purchased the Hydros wave engine I thought I would be able to set a schedule for each pump in apex on a 0-10 volt and have the wave engine follow that. Instead all I have figured out is to set schedules up in the wave engine and have apex trigger them via 0-10 volt. It’s not a huge deal but I have to open the hydros app to check pump status and to make any real changes. Overall I like the hydros wave engine but like I said has to work with apex (it’s where I’m invested now).

Got it. That makes sense. I will admit that I love the versia stream pumps because they are literally built for the GHL (by sicce). The seamless integration is fantastic. I do wish they offered one size larger though. The 2000gph is “fine” for my small tank, but no good options for something larger. Short of 0-10v per your point.

Thanks I’ve been on the fence about getting mp60 or mp40. I picked up 2 mp40’s today. I plan to Replace both the 2k gyres and one octopulse 2. If I’m happy with them I’ll probably get 2 more at the end of the month.

I love my Vortechs other than the drysides going noisy. Wouldn’t be so bad if I had a louder overflow or AC pumps but my tank is built with quiet gear being in my living room.

A spare wetside makes cleaning a real treat as you can just toss a new one on and soak the dirty one in citric for a day.

I will work on extra wet sides for that reason. I like ease of maintenance.

If you want to try out a wxm module to integrate instead of mobius let me know I’m sure I have one around that I’m not using

Thanks for the offer but I run one for my G4 Pro’s, G4’s are möbius compatible but not mxm compatible so in run a wxm for them. Are you familiar with the difference between each for the pumps?

Pumps it’s easy just upgrade the chipset and it’s Mobius compatible and works with the MXM

I think for lights G5 and G6 are compatible I don’t know if G4 can be updated to work with MXM or not

They can not be. I run my G6 on mxm and my G4 on wxm all lights have mobius chips.

Yes I understand that, I was curious as to if there are any features available to wxm vs. mxm.

Mobius chips can be downgraded to run on the wxm but wxm chips can not run mobius or mxm.
