If there's water in there... we need another picture... :D

I'm waiting for the water to clear up a bit and post a up and running pic. YAY! SO.......
I spent alot of time watching the tank to make sure everything goes good(no leaks in plumbing) and at 3:50 this morning a hose on my skimmer upstairs came off and pumped out the fuge all over my floor in return soaked through the ceiling downstairs onto my TV and equipment, traveled down the soffit across the family room soaking through random spots along the way! And just missed leaking on my new AI's and new tank downstairs! BIG MESS!!!

My new blue glow

Sorry to hear Cory, was the skimmer above an external one or in sump?

External octopus. It was my fault, I had the fill line pressed on super tight and had a big zip tie on it and it's been on there for 4 years! Some how came off.

man, I'm not all sold on external skimmers unless its at the basement near a drain.

I bought it along time ago, stupid mistake on my part. Lesson learned...
The skimmer I bought for my 120 is internal:biglaugh2:

Sorry to hear about that. I hope it doesn't do lot of damages to your house and equipments.

Damn dude, that sucks. I had a sump crack on me in the middle of the night too. Nothing worse than getting up at 3 am to clean up a sopping wet floor!

How do you have the lights wired? I'm really intrigued by the sliding light mount

My carpet is peeled back, padding ripped out and thrown away, ceiling downstairs is still wet with holes and staining... Sucks! Upstairs and down are all torn apart, but my new tank is running awesome!

I rewired the track and the little connector box so that you can plug the AI's power supply into it, making sure that you use the right contacts in the track and connecting box so the polarity is right and can't be reversed. You treat the AI's like it was a track light, twist the connecting box to unhook it, slide the light out of the way and twist the connecting box back in and light has power again. Simple to get the light out of the way when I'm messing with the tank.

Hello everybody, I've been on TCMAS for awhile but really haven't said much, just reading and learning. My wife and I have had a tank up and running for awhile with limited softies and some fish. We recently had a renewed intrest in the hobby and our tank (55g) is doing awesome! I have a 120RR that I had started to build awhile back but ran out of time and money. So here I am starting a build but not the 120, I've decided to build a DB 30g Rimless(24x24x12) set up. It was just supposed to be a grow out and transfer tank while I build my 120RR. Well...it's turning out to be a little more than that, I couldn't just slap together a makeshift tank since all the space I have is in the open and I don't care to have some jalopy tank hanging around lookin like a turd! Here's a couple of pic's of the stand I'm building, I'm still waiting on the tank but is supposed to be here Wednesday! I can't wait!

What kind of wood is that?

How tall is your stand?
It's 36 1/4 where the tank sits, and the sides are 37 1/2

Very nice tank bro! Sorry to hear about the mess you had, what a bad day.
Yeah the carpet under the tank is still leaching out a little water, almost dry so I can put down the new pad and stretch the carpet back. Patch the soffit downstairs and repaint to cover up the water stains. Total pain!
