Has anyone ever had a Blue faced angelfish or a Emperor angelfish in a reef tank? I have done some reading and some people say they could be put into a reef tank With caution?

I had a blue face, it was a model citizen as people are fond of saying for about 4-5 months and then he tasted some corals and never went back. don't do it.

You're taking a chance with anything you put in your reef tanks. All fish are able to take a bite out of a coral. It's a risk you take and I think a few reefers base it on what is more important to them: every coral in the tank, or the fish that may be inclined to munch on them.

Keep in mind that some nippers do more damage than others. For example, a flame angel will likely not do the damage than an emperor can, simply because of the sheer size difference.
