Ok here i go. for the last 2 years i have been rocking a 29gl and loving it but for the last year of that i have been dreaming of a 75gl and slowly putting things together to achieve that dreaming. Last year for graduation a vary good friend gave me a 75gl with stand, canopy, sump, pump, pluming, 4 65wt coral life bulbs. So the sump, pump, pluming and lighting had to go. they do not work for the reef tank i wont. thanks to this site i have fund may thing to build a set up that will work for me.

I will be transferring the 25lb of LR, live stock and a koralia 2 from the old tank
I am still looking for a good skimmer, at lest 2 more power heads, 30 or so lb of LR and pluming parts

ok so I'd love any help any one can give me

Looks great so far. What kind of help do you need? Looks like you have it going smooth so far.

I'd love any help i can get with the plumbing. As of right now, I have nothing. The old set up was put together poorly, so it all went in the trash. Any diagrams or layout would be helpful.

I still have the skimmer, lighting and 2 k3's from my 75 i took down a few weeks back. I don't know if the simmer would fit in your sump though it is attached to a platform that gives it a pretty big foot print. I had it in a 20l sump but the first chamber was about 16" long.

This weekend i had time to sand & paint the rims of my tank. To day i had a friend stop by and hall the tank to it's new home. Put 80lb of sand in. Next step is to do the pluming. Hope to get to it this week or this weekend

as you all can see the skimmer is way to small for the new tank i am going to run it for rite now till i can find a good deal on a biger one. I think it will work as long as i do not put any thing new in the tank

To night i took back out 30gl of water and then proceeded to transfer every thing out of the 29gl in to the new tank water and all

You may want to make sure you can at least get the skimmer out of that location easily, in case something gets wrapped up in the impeller blades and you have to clean it.

Ask me how I know. :gay1:

Thanks Puff.
Shidds as for the skimmer that is in there now I can pull it out at a drop of a hate but thanks for the heads up

I got my skimmer to day!!! now all i need to do is figure this thing out it did not come with any directions

I dont notice any brand of pump for the skimmer. Does it have a needlewheel? Also dont see a air silencer for the intake. Might wanna make one otherwise it will be loud. Otherwise looks like a decent quality, would be interested to see it perform.

Thanks People. The pump is a PH-2000 Power Head with needlewheel. It duz not have a the air silencer for the intake that is y I am posting. How do i make one "I'd love to make it my self" but ware can i by one if i cant. Also i put in a nuther 30lb of LR to day and 2 know k 3 power heads

To make your own you could just make it out of PVC pipe. Would be very simple to make.

I have also heard a simple freshwater air store will work on smaller units.
