Anyone ever keep an abalone in their reef?

I haven’t but I have been looking for them for awhile as they seem interesting aside from their algae grazing ability.

I did a few years back, had him for quite awhile. They need a lot of food, but super cool!

Instead grow tons of algae and not know it. I got 3 abalones, but 2 died within a couple days. The survivor is growing well, but don't move much during the day. At night, he cruises around and presumably eats algae. Never see any coral frags tipped over from him. Just the tangs. Lol
