Sadly, odds are my (actual) salt mixing station would retail for more... Good thing I'm a cheapskate. I need help.

That and I just flooded the fish room again, so I'm sitting on the deck while it sorts itself out.

Tanks never hold what they sell them as. First it's outside dimensions, you'd have to subtract glass thickness. Second, the rating would be full to the very top. Third, and most importantly, it's all marketing anyways. Where this gets messy is using drugs in quarantine environments.

Well - at least your not locked out of your house in the freezing cold sitting on your front step again?

Glass half full? : )

Also, the black plumbing is pretty slick!

IKR! The doors on the Tek stand are smoke glass so I wanted to paint as much as possible so it wouldn't show through when the fuge light is on. As this point - I am going to paint all the doors black as I really see no need to keep them smoke.

Even if I had made the door decision before I painted the plumbing - I would still go with painting it since it just looks so cool

But I thought the smoke glass was the main reason you liked the stand.

What type of spray paint was used for the plumbing? I think I might steal that idea when I start my 75 gallon ( scheduled for next year). :)

Ever miscalculate your salt? I have - and on an epic level. Once all was said and done - the new tank was at 1.050 - ugh

I have been pulling water from it and replacing it with RO/DI over the last week trying to get it down to 1.025

Unfortunately - since I don't have an RO/DI - this has involved picking up 15 gallons RO/DI from Aquaraia Guru at the meeting last Friday and then another 40 gallons today from TJP

And also hauling it ALL up the damn steps again.

The RO/DI system plumbed into the guest bathroom is looking better and better

Kev is heading to Vegas this weekend - hmmmmmmmmmmmm wonder if I could pull off installing it before he gets back - heh heh

Great idea!
It's about time you do something for yourself!

But please check out this link first... Once..., Twice...., Three times???.

So - do you think your S/O would put up with this? lol

I don't know how Kevin does it.

Oh... you're talking about the picture of your bathroom?
I'm sure that since he's a male, he doesn't really care what the bathroom looks like as long as he has a place to go to the bathroom; and even if that was not possible, he would just go find a tree outside.

At least it isn't 40 bottles of shampoo and toys, I would be happy if all I had to move was a couple buckets of saltwater

But the better question would be why you are storing water in your tub when it should be in your tank? Planning on setting up a full blown reef tank in the tub?

I have to agree with Bschowa, my wife does have about 40 bottles of different hair products in her bath/shower....... :confused:lol

You're thanking someone for flood creation in your house? Couldn't resist, I didn't see a shut off valve and float switch in the pic.

150gpd? So no more hauling buckets in, that's great.
