I just ordered a nano box quad for my 36" tank. We shall see how it does with the spread...

Thanks Scott - appreciate the offer. Yep going softies on this one : )

Thanks - I started looking for another Vega to add but in the meantime- plenty have convinced me to just go ahead and try mounting it lengthwise across the tank first to see if that does it.

With the mounting channels on the light and arms - I will need to rig up a cable system to hang from the arm. This means I need a 12" bracket to extend off the arm for the cables to hang the light from in order for the light itself to remain over the middle of the tank. I currently only have a 6" so I will be ordering a 12" bracket tomorrow and then Terry (TJP) has the cable and clamps needed to hang it from the extended bracket.

Will see how it looks after that.

Sent in my Apex control module and display to Neptune this week as it went dead on me a week after I started getting it all hooked up. Could possibly cost me another couple hundred bucks or free! Cross your fingers on the free please.

Updated crappy cell tank shots below

I traded out the large rock on the left to a smaller one to allow for more light spread on the left side of the tank

Also added a small rock to middle front to hold my newly acquired Dhummel Nep (thx TJP)

Added a small barnacle rock to right front for the incoming Blue Spot Jawfish : )

Current tank inhabitants are:
2 Tri-color BTA's - jlanger
4 Pink Yuma's - Shibbs
Dhummel Nepthilia - TJP
McKoskers Flasher Wrasse - Jay Soukup/Discovery Aquatics
Pair Randall's Gobies - Jay Soukup/Discovery Aquatics
Tiger Pistol Shrimp - Jay Soukup/Discovery Aquatics
Pair Skunk Cleaner Shrimp - Chad Vossen
Pair Fire Shrimp - Chad Vossen
Pair Clowns - Patent

Tank as of 12/14:

Tank as of tonight:

Lastly - I really need to invest in a camera and some classes. Totally hitting up the Photography workshop in March

In the meantime - here is an awesome pic of what my (Jlangers originally) Tri-color BTA's look like!!!!

Wow Angie, very nice! Coming along good. I like the softy idea. Love the tri-color nem. Does the clown host?

Angie, the tank keeps getting delayed so I held off on the order. I will order again when the tank is set up and cycled. For now I will use the kessils I have on the 20g.

They are tank raised so they have yet to figure out what the nem's are. Kevin keeps messin with me by yelling "the clowns are in the nems!" here and there the get me tearing through the house to see.......jerk

It looks like the nem(s) doing well in your system. Kudos!
I was hoping to see a pic of your Randall's(s), though.

@Kevin - (Behind her back high-five!)

Angie - they're Yumas, not rics. You'll see once they color up a bit.

Looking good!

I am pretty unhappy. Seems to me if a unit goes berserk after applying a firmware update recommended by the manufacturer - it shouldn't fall on the consumer to cover the expense to correct it.

I realize in end I will likely have to fork out the $$$ to get it fixed but in the meantime I am asking to have this escalated to a supervisor for discussion.

Stay tuned........

kind of crappy that a firmware update fried it, still not messing with that update here. Doesn't sound like anything I need, the basis of it is to work with their new dose system.

My Apex Jr. is still doing everything I need it to do. Perhaps bad juju for poking fun at mine.

Well they dropped it to $50.00 after my complaining. Still not too pleased but at least it's something.
