I hate when the new stuff is the last post of the previous page.

I get asked a lot for FTS. I've never had any good ones really for two reasons. The first is that this tank is only a few months old. It's a reef in its infancy, a new beginning from small reefs of past. The second is that this tank is 72"x40"x18" and peninsula style. That equates to 3 FTS needed. Well since this tank is large it's hard to get the camera back far enough for the 72" long sides. Well I've taken a few shots around the tank. Enjoy!

FTS are looking great! You really have alot going on in that tank and its really coming together really great.

Lots of awesome colors. You got quite the collection. Very nice shots.

What is the light pink maze brain behind the mycedium on the right of that third pic in the post above?

...The same one i look at every time. i guess it just looks diffrerent from every angle i have seen it. Good size and nice shape to that one.

The Acan Cove is awesome. isnt there a chalice cove on the other side.

Chalice cove is the front (short side) of the tank. I guess I didn't include a picture of that, huh.

wow. did you leave anything at Murry's? Many of those items lead to me drooling in his tanks.

My top off services are available free of charge at your place as well.

I have my UV sterilizer in FINALLY! Pictures to come. It looks like a train wreck around the sump.

My mistake. I had a leaky corner so I had to cut it out. That left me with no more unions and no couplers. Extra ball valve to the rescue.

They like to see you coming at the plumbing supply place don't they? ;)

it's in the basement, it does not leak. it's all good!

ha ha, yeah, understatement. I'd rather spend the extra money and make it look okay (I won't say great cause my plumbing skills are not). I've got strong enough pumps I don't need to worry about the additional head created.

Tonight is clean-up. :(

A little tid-bit for plumbing planning.
Problem: Home Depot and Lowes (or other retailer) unions are not the same or interchangeable. I had my nice expensive gate valve on Home Depot unions so when I had to relocate it I was going to reuse half of the union to prevent any cuts. All the new ones were from Lowes, crap. Luckily I had enough extra pipe to cut off the old unions and put new ones on.

Lesson learned for everyone: Make sure you buy extra unions from the same store for future replacement of sections.
