Algae Turf Scrubber. To turn off or not to turn off. (1 Viewer)

There are arguments on both sides, but I find it beneficial to have a dark period for at least a few hours each day.
My scrubber's photoperiod is currently on for only ten hours each night and it's keeping my nutrient levels very stable. I'm harvesting every ten days or so and I'm still getting ten to fifteen ounces of algae per harvest.

I’ve been using a horizontal ATS for over 12 years. 18 hours on 6 hours off. 10% water change every 2 weeks. 90 liters aquarium. The skimmer was put in without my consent. Serves no purpose as I only leave it running not skimming anything. Auto replenish magnesium, potassium. Got a new auto detect Kh and doser.
