Im trying to get my anemone to split and am doing heavy feeding and high lighting and just did a 50% water change is there anymore I can do?

The jury may still be out on whether asexual splitting is positive or negative reproductive response. Does prime nutritional input from symbionts and consumption trigger it, or stress from UV or some limiting factors? There seems to be anecdotal evidence all directions with these animals.

Physical bifurcation is an option. Folks have had surprisingly high success rates with cutting them in any number of radial pieces, always including portion of the oral cavity. I have never hack up a nem, and don’t know the best recovery protocol, but it has been done countless times.

What would you say would help? I dont think I'll be wanting to cut the anemone! This is what the anem looks like i could get a better photo tonight when the light is off what would be most ideal?5725.jpg
