You dont mess around man!

Hopefully you can find a replacement tank soon

I was going to say the same thing! Dang you beat me to it though so now I cant...

So I will say: You dont mess with the fist of furry! If you do you get Hulk Smashed!!!!!!!

Oh and you dont mess around! lol

Thanks, so far, my plans are to drain the tank, smash it, throw it in the trash, and chalk it off to lesson learned.

Although I am going to file in small claims court, I'll try my luck their, and if I win, great, if not, oh well.

He said everything works fine, and Cearly he sold the tank and with-held the truth

In all honesty - you never know what your going to get with Craigslist - nuff said.

I would have bought that tank from you to house my reptiles ......but I can TOTALLY understand the frustration AND MOST DEFINETLY the fist through the glass though.........

Ok. Price expires at the end of the month. Just to warn you. Every month special pricing on tanks change :(

and the price is for you only. it's about 5 dollars over cost.

Your not going to get a better deal on a new tank than that. If/when you buy it - I would be happy to swing over to help out dude.

DONT GET DISCOURAGED - you can do this- you just didnt start out right - trust me when I say - I didnt either - I paid $300.00 for a non-drilled 45g tall.....yup that didnt work out for me either.

We have all been there - just keep with it dude

I concur with what Clint mentioned.

It is very common to crack tanks installing new bulkheads, I have done it myself. You have to be very careful and any off balance stress or overtightening will make this happen. I sincerely doubt the person knowingly sold you a cracked or leaky tank.

I understand your frustation just wanted to put it in perspective for you from my experience. Moving tanks (new or used) has to be done oh so carefully...

While I cant speak for [edited] I can say that I have bought quite a few items from him in the past and have never had any issues - enough said

Question = did you pull those corner overflows from the broken tank? Those can come in handy and are worth $$$

Maxreefer, do you plan on keeping us updated on the results of your internal review? Or at least pm'ing me your conclusion?

Of course I do.
First of all please be a little patient when we decide to have a review on certain posting or topics. This is not a full time paid job for us and it might take a while before we all had time to discuss a topic. I just can tell you we take any action or complaint serious and we won't let them slip away.

In the mean time you should have received a PM from a member of the BOD explaining what was wrong about your posting and why we can't tolerate postings like this. We are very open minded and know some threads can get heated but we won't allow personal flaming.
I understand your frustation having a broken tank but you did your transaction on craigslist and the sale was not done on the TCMAS classifieds forum.
We can not judge here if you are right or wrong with your statement that the tank was already broken when you purchased it. There is no proof available to us. Unless you can prove your tank was broken at the time of purchase we don't see any reason to take further action.

Michael
