Anyone Want Chaetomorpha? (1 Viewer)

That seems pretty good to me! That is surprising, I guess a testament to that piece of equipment.

I was thinking more about the fact that my N and P are both higher than the test kit can measure.

No, they are a bit...high. But I'm hoping this will help draw them down.

What size is your display, my 40 breeder can get jam packed with this if I let it. With Chaeto my nitrates hover between 7.5 to 12… without around 33 …. I know it works because I have tested it 😊

Now once the corals start growing might have to play around with the photo period

This is on my 300 FOWLER. That is Pax Bellum ARID C36...the reaction chamber is 10" across and 3 foot tall.

Who measures nitrate in a fowlr? :). I think @nessjosh wss measuring like 5050000000ppm nitrate. Maybe slightly less. He can confirm :)

I pretty sure it is good for the inhabitants even though they can handle the pollution. Plus it outcompetes all the micro algae. In the Refugium it literally melts it

I’m just giving him shit. I’m sure keeping levels somewhat in check is a good thing.

I've learned that not changing water for a year does have some consequences. Oddly, I have no visible algae in the tank, and only need to scrape the glass every couple of weeks.
