Are you sick of 40 breeder builds yet? Here's another:) (1 Viewer)

Ok, great! I like to go with the depth they say is optimal for that model. And yes I had same issue with return. Glad to here you don't have issues.

Yeah, Jeremy at coralvue recommends about 5.5" depth or so and also make sure the outlet is about 5.5" as well IIRC. I think I'm gonna have to trim down the outlet pipe a bit on mine.

Yes, the guy I got mine from had his at a deeper depth. He's the one who recommended the 6" depth. Said he got a lot better performance. As long as the outlet is 3/4 out of the water you should be fine, that will keep the back pressure down.

Started making the ro/di water for the tank this morning... should have 60 gallons of saltwater in the tank by tomorrow evening:)

Here are a couple more pics....with water:) As of right now the sump is full of saltwater and the display is about 70% full of fresh ro/di.

Well, I've added 5 fish(snowflake clown, royal gramma, banggii cardinal, firefish, and a yellow tail blue damsel for frag tank patrol. Have a few frags in the display with more in the sump/frag tank... will probably be adding more within the next week. I also have a skunk cleaner shrimp as well as a ton of cerith snails as well as a few nerites and about a dozen nassarious. Tank is slllooowwwllyy becoming stable as I've had bouts with some type of slime algae(non cyano) as well as cloudy water(bacteria blooms?) from time to time. So far in the past 2 weeks the tank has been crystal clear and is looking good:) Here are a few recent pics...

As you can probably see the brown slime is disappearing from the display but still prevalent in the sump/frag tank.

No pics at the moment but the slime and cyano is 90% gone:) I've added several frags from my old tank and everything seems to be doing fine so far.
