Guys and Gals

Just wanted to re introduce myself as I got out of the hobby for a few years.

I had a 40 breeder reef setup with lots of SPS to Softys and It was my pride and joy, but I built that tank during the college years and after school, I was traveling for most of the year.

This photo was from before I shut the tank down.

Now that I have my own place, and time. I want a centerpiece for my living room. Before at my parents house, I was forced to have my tank in the basement and I always wished I could have it where people could appreciate my hard work and enjoy it with out going out of there way.

Because of my choice to have the tank located in the living room I need to meet the following requirements

- Low overflow risk
- Clean and professional appearance ( concealed sump or no sump)
- Easy to work on with no huge metal hallide hanging lights
- Smaller tank Looking at a 40 gallon cube for observation from 3 sides (Hall way, Kitchen, Living room)

Price

Because my last tank was built on a college budget, I spent lots of time on line ordering from outlets and cut rate big box stores.
I always wished that I could afford the corals or light fixtures from the local reef stores but a $50 per week total income does not allow that luxury.
I also seen that ALL REEF went out of business, Peggy was a big resource to me and she would frag little pieces for me to fit my budget.

MY GOAL: is to buy everything from local Reef Stores and support the little guys on this build. I know it will cost me a little more money, but I feel that I owe it to them.

Looking forward to getting back in the club

Peggy will be missed, however now she has time with her family which would be nice sometimes...
