Sunday after waterchange (15%)
Mg - 1290
Cal - 470
Alk - 8.5

Saturday before next waterchange
Mg: 1290
Ca: 470
dKH: 7.4

Should I be trying raise my Mg and my alk?

w/c less than 30% won't really make a huge impact. I prefer to bring out the big guns and do 50% w/c a little less often, making sure I test and supplement to make the fresh SW ideal.

Your alk will always drop faster. you can figure out how much to supplement using this

use your own, it's cheap and easy to use baking soda (not powder!)/soda ash (baked baking soda)

no real need to keep your ca that high. I aim for about 420ca and 10 dkh.
With small tanks, frequent water changes and occasional use of Epsom salt should be fine.

I kind of want a system down is the thing. I want to just get a dosing pump, so after awhile it's on autopilot. Then just do weekly tests. I am thinking about just picking up bulk reefs cal/alk packs, that sounds like the easiest. I know I would pay a little more, but I think it would be worth it.

Epsom salts aren't ideal, to raise Mg using epsom salts raises SO4 significantly... Ideally, to raise Mg, you use a combination of MgCl and MgSO4..... If you want to do the auto dosing thing, you'd need 2, ideally 3 pumps with a controller.... I'm currently using a Grotech 3 channel pump and it's so slick! Tell how much total in ML that I want to dose, and how many times a day, and I'm done. I was using BRS dosing pumps before, and while the net is the same, the Grotech is much simpler (a little more expensive)

That slick euro equipment....where can you even buy grotech.....no wholesalers around here....:poke:

No, I got it from the guy that I got my new tank from :) You can get them online from the Netherlands....
