So like the title says. Where is the best place to get these? I think its time I upgrade my fully modded ER rs-180.

My system is a 120 display, 40 breeder sump (15 gallons of it refugium), 200+ lbs live rock. Here is a thread listing my livestock;

I should note that if its in sump I only have a foot print of 17x11" and 26" height, but wouldnt have any problem making a new sump for a bigger foot print just cant get anymore height.

What would you recommend for me and do you have a link for the pecs on the skimmer? Thanks Matt,

We have similar sized systems... Do you plan on a major upgrade anytime soon? If not, the BIGGEST I would go is a BK mini 200 or BM 200.... The thing with BKs especially is that they are sized well. Go too big and you'll get a lot of skimmate initially (after break in) and then little skimmate. There are quite a few people that bought oversized BKs or BMs and as a result are very unhappy with the skimmer.

I have a BK mini200 on my 120, I new it was too much as I plan and building a 200+ gallon system soon. Its a beast, if I were to stay win the 120, I'd definitely gone with the 180 mini. With the BM, I'd consider the 160 or 200. The BM will be less efficient than the BK due to smaller bubble plates, though they tend to have higher air/water ratios.....

If someone has a 300+ gallon system that BK that Dirk is selling is tough if not impossible to beat... At that price, a deal of a lifetime.

I dont have any plans right now to upgrade to a biger system until I buy a house. and even then it could be a while for a upgrade. Any chance you have a link to either brand? I think for now i wold probably just get the BK 180 mini or the BM 160-200 dependant on price and specs. Thanks, Sean

GP we can match Reef Geek pricing + $15 for shipping. Would be a special order.

Thanks,

Fritz
