I recently set up a 28 gal aquapod. Snails I put in a week or so ago are doing well. I see a bunch of pods and even a dang bristle worm. To me, it seems like the tank is ready for some live stock. I would love a nem and a couple clown fish. I would rather not have orange since I have that type of clown in my 75. Black clowns would he okay, but I saw a pair of maroon clowns at PETCO last week. What type of clowns would you recommend that would be hosted in a nem? What type of nem would you recommend? Should I get the nem first and then put in the clowns or other way around...or doesn't it matter? There are a bunch of nems for sale right now on the forum, it would be great to get one of those.

Don't get a nem yet. The tank isn't nearly stable or ready for it. Even though you might be seeing "stable" conditions, the tank isn't really capable of handling swings just yet. Get the fish first, let the tank get at least 6 months at the very minimum before a nem. I've always thought if you wanted to go with a maroon, that a gbta looks really nice. Don't worry about trying to get a nem - you'll always be able to find one on this forum!

Any morph of Amphiprion ocellaris (like the black ones) because you can get them cheaper than their A. percula cousins. BTAs (bubble tentacle anemone) are probably the best fit for that tank and *can* host A. ocellaris. The clownfish can be put in fairly early, wait a little while before adding a nem.

would a yellow stripe maroon clown be a good fit for a nano...24 gal aquapod? Live aquaria.com says minimum 30 gal, but what about little fish?

Maroon clownfish just get bigger than the other breeds. You could, but it might not be the most comfortable thing for the fish when they grow up to full size. At that time you might want to find a new home for them. I should also mention that I do not really support the idea of buying fish small and then planning on pawning them off as soon as they get too big unless you have arangements made prior to your purchase. I'd suggest if you do decided to do maroons, buy them smaller. Try to find tank bread and raised if you can. Just keep in mind they can get to over 6" long.

From you previous post the black a ocellaris clown wuuld be best. Can I put two in the tank if entered at the same time?

Yeah, tank bread usually can stay less than 4" in length. wo Ocellaris in that tank would be just fine, in any coloration.
