Birds Nest dies after 6 to 8 months (1 Viewer)

Nice! Love the placement on these. Your tank is gorgeous!

Thanks for the update. It will be interesting to see how it turns out with the Birdsnest you saved. That whole family of coral can be finicky for such an “easy” SPS.

Thanks for the kind words. Have you read any updated books on reefing? I have watched the BRS series but would like another prospective.

I have found extreme value in even the older texts. Many outdated books take deeper dives into areas BRS only glances at. The videos out there on the internet are for folks with 5-10 min attention spans. Though beneficial, I think many vids over simplify the complexities of the craft. This can give false confidence and/or leads to reactionary reef keeping.
The most recently published book that I have seen (but have yet to purchase) is…

Reefkeeping Fundamentals

Next on my list to buy. And being a new book there is not an inflated collector sticker price. $60-70 may be more than many are willing to spend, but I have paid +$100 for out of print books. But I find value in the information for certain, no matter the vintage! Books are a great supplement to Google…….or vice versa!
