Black Egg Crate (1 Viewer)

Just so you know. We have talk about this before did you look on the form's first lol
 
There actually is a place locally that stocks it (or at least did 10 years ago), I know because I got some there. But I can't remember the name. They were an industrial lighting supply place, I think they were in the Hwy 55 & Penn area. Maybe they can be found in the yellow pages.
 
I will see what I can dig up. I found a place called "industrial lighting supply" which is located in downtown minneapolis. I have not given them a call yet, but if they have black egg crate I will be sure to report back.

If you find it Eric LMK I would be interested in a sheet or two. I may be able to get a contractor discount too.

Will do. I'm trying to find something to cover my tank that won't be an eyesore (I still think that egg crate is, but don't have another alternative) because I've been wanting to get a wrasse (or a few). Black egg crate seems like the best, cheapest and easiest option. I've seen others who have built tops from other material, but I'm not that handy. Cutting egg crate, however, is something that I think even I can manage.
 
lol yeah I hear ya. I would actually like to have my frag racks made out of black and also to put over my tank while my wrasses acclimate to my tank.

I called around to a few places and was referred to this place:

I called them and they can get black egg crate for about $12/sheet, but it would take 2-3 weeks to order (not that big of a deal). The problem was that they don't sell to individuals, only businesses - I'm not a business...so that's where I need some help.

If anyone else is interested, they can order however many sheets from 1-??? and cut it in any specific dimensions we would want. I'm not really going to need this anytime soon, so figured I would throw it out there if anyone else was interested.

I was going to do that and will if there isn't someone else who is interested that actually owns/works for a business that would need it.
