i knew about them when I was in the planted Tank hobby eons ago. Anyone here feed it to their reef?
Where would you buy them locally
Maybe there is someone from MAS that knows someone that is farming them

Used them once trying to get a copperband butterfly to survive. Didn't work out. Other fish ate them but they are freshwater species. They die pretty fast once you put them in saltwater. I feed frozen bloodworms to my freshwater tank. Occasionally I will throw a cube in the saltwater tank. My fish are fat and I think they eat anything. Kind of funny to see a mandarin suck up a bloodworm.

I do occasionally. If you want to start a whiteworm culture, those will be cheaper and probably provide the same benefit. Like MWM said, they'll die pretty quickly. That being said, they're really good at fattening fish up, especially the ones that have a hard time eating baby brine shrimp.

Quality Aquatics up in Circle Pines usually has them in stock, but with where you live, I'd definitely call ahead before driving. I work up in the area so happy to pick some up at some point and meet you at like, Rivershore. I know that the Facebook groups have enough of a market where you could organize a group buy as well.

There are some cool blackworm farming videos. I've got a few ideas brewing on how to do it, but alas, I am out of space in my apartment and my live food rack is overstocked as is.

I used to farm them and feed them to my reef. Fish loved them and super easy to grow. In my 500, I used to just grab a nice big tong-full every day and drop it into my return chamber.

I found the best way to keep them was use a small aquarium and slowly run cold water through it, but I had well water, so no chlorine or other chemicals to worry about.
