My ro booster pump has really bad cavitation when its on. I don't believe this is normal any thoughts on what might be causing this?

only way it could be doing that is if air is getting in or is trapped in the pump.

When I was thinking about it, I thought about air getting in but then questioned wouldn't it leak somewhere when the pump is not running and there is pressure on the line? Mention air being trapped I just looked again my pump is the highest point of the system maybe I will try to lower it and then see what happens

if the pump is the highest, any little bubble that comes in or is created by the pump will just stay there. Lower the pump so the bubble floats out and it should quiet up for ya.
