Brent's 150 gallon build (1 Viewer)

Sorry for the lack of updates I'll make sure to get some done tommorow with pictures, for tonight I got my sump plumbed in but I have very low flow so I guess my brand new mag 12 will have to get replaced with something bigger :( I thought 1200gph would cut it but I'm thinking to get the flow out of my closed loop return that I want I'm going to have to go with around double that. Anyone have a pump capable of 2400gph for sale by chance?

Yep, I'm trying to keep as few objects in my display as possible

Time for an update, well after finding out that I have a 125 I was very happy as my lighting requirements got easier. I picked up a used led light from someone close by, they may or may not be on this forum. My cycle completed so I added 3 blue/green chromis and a few small starter corals from members on this forum. I then went to petco and my gf fell in love with what was supposed to be a red spotted goby so being stupid I bought it without doing any research. I got home to find out that is is really a red stripe sand Perch that like to eat inverts and small fish. Thankfully I don't have any of those yet so when I am able to post on the classifieds I will be putting him up for trade or sale. So far no harm has been done but I will definately be researching more in the future. As said before I have my sump plumbed, waiting on the funds to get a skimmer( could use recommendations) I plan on having a heavy ammount of corals mainly Sps and softies. And I found out my brand new mag 12 is way undersized for what I piped it as. Looking for something around 2400gph but that's where I am at for now. Pictures will be uploaded in a bit if I can figure out how to do it

Well time for some pictures! I'm not sure what I have posted so I will start from the beginning

Just kidding I guess I will have to do it from a computer when I get home lol

Nope lol ugh any ideas of why this isn't working for me? It keeps saying file is invalid

And I followed the user guide and it still doesn't work is photobucket no longer supported?

Hopefully I can help. I have been using Photobucket all day today with no issues.

When you are trying to post a picture into the post, are you using the copy and paste function from Photobucket?

When I post photos I have two browser windows open; one is TCMAS, the other is Photobucket.
The Photobucket page should be on the image I want to post.
On the right-hand margin, there is a box labeled "Links to share this photo".
Just click on the link in the box labeled "IMG".
The box should turn yellow and read "Copied".

When you go back to the TCMAS page and want to place the image, just click [Command/Control + V] to paste the link to the photo.
All of text of the link will show up.
It should start out with "[URL=http://s32.photobucket.com/user/...."
You shouldn't have to type in the "IMG" tag before or after the link.

Try it and let me know if this works for you.

Red stripe sand perch (not reef safe) looking for a new home for him

so lets start from the begining to where we are now

Tank with just rocks

First fill

Random hitch hiker

Neon Green Hydnophora

Orange bam bam frag

Dragon Eyes

Frog spawn

Xenia

Nice start.
Did you keep the eggcrate underneath the sand bed? Or remove it?

i kept it under but i am starting to regret that decision as my powerheads like to blow the sand off of it and expose it, if i ever have to redo my rock work i think i will be pulling it out

Hey everyone, I'm very frustrated with my layout of my tank, the egg crate is very irritating, the rock work does not look good to me anymore and I am having a diatom bloom, before I do anything what are the downsides of me pulling out fish and coral and putting them in a holding container, taking out all the rock, removing the egg crate and re doing the rock work in a fashion that works better for me?
